It is reported that the spread of the new coronavirus has promoted the development of e-commerce in the United States. The U.S. retail industry's investment in digital advertising has continued to grow, and this year's retail advertising revenue will account for one-eighth of digital advertising revenue.


Amazon and Walmart will continue to increase their investment in retail advertising to obtain higher e-commerce advertising revenue. Amazon will use its data and positioning capabilities to place advertisements on the Internet. Walmart is working with The Trade Desk to place retail media on the Internet, and its e-commerce channel advertising revenue exceeded $1 billion last year.


It is reported that search advertising accounts for the majority of overall advertising revenue in the retail industry. The success of Amazon's sponsored search ads and their effectiveness in reaching shoppers have helped Amazon expand its share of the US search advertising market. Amazon is expected to account for one-fifth of search advertising spending in the United States this year, more than three times Microsoft's share.
