Shopify launches more than 100 new features! Increase product exposure and boost sales!

It is learned that Shopify has released the Summer '22 Edition, adding more than 100 new features including NFT, Twitter shopping, and iPhone click payment. Many of these tools have the same function: to increase product exposure and boost sales.

The launch marks Shopify's move into B2B

The e-commerce site, called Connect-to-Consumer (C2C), is designed to help sellers find buyers and scale their businesses through its semi-annual new product showcase. In addition to adding direct-to-consumer functionality, C2C also includes Shopify's first entry into the B2B market, connecting sellers with wholesalers.

B2B is designed to create a seamless experience for Shopify Plus sellers who want to increase the scale and reach of their sales by selling to other businesses on the same platform they sell to consumers.

Shopify will automatically integrate essential data into the solution through integrations with partners such as NetSuite, Brightpearl and Acumatica.

Other key features are designed to open up new business channels

C2C demonstrates the breadth and depth of the e-commerce giant’s expansion, with key new features including:

  • Tokenized Commerce: Shopify introduces an NFT marketplace to connect crypto wallets with online stores and allow sellers to create commerce experiences controlled by tokens.
  • Twitter Sales Channel: Shopify sellers will be able to integrate up to 50 products from their catalog into their Twitter profiles, gaining access to the social media company’s hundreds of millions of users.
  • Tap to Pay on iPhone: As part of an initiative to simplify point-of-sale transactions, sellers can make offline sales without additional hardware or investment.
  • Local Inventory Sync: Reflecting Google’s focus on local search, this update allows sellers to notify buyers to try products in-store.
  • Shopify Functions: This update allows developers to create their own backend code, providing the flexibility of an open source platform without having to deal with hosting and security issues.
  • Dovetail: This makes it easier for Shopify sellers to find and connect with influencers and affiliate marketers.
