It is learned that according to foreign media reports, Shopify recently announced a cooperation with content management platform Sanity. Through this cooperation, millions of Shopify merchants will gain new capabilities, that is, to significantly improve customers' shopping experience through high-quality products and brand content.
The two companies reportedly combine commerce and content, allowing Shopify merchants to tell store stories faster, inspire audiences, and flexibly adjust product information, brand assets, and other content. According to Shopify, Sanity is the first CMS partner to launch an application for Hydrogen (a headless framework product for building custom storefronts), and it is Shopify's only investment in a content platform company to date.
It is learned that since its launch in 2017, Sanity has successfully helped thousands of brands around the world create product content and build outstanding, integrated digital experiences, including Burger King, AT&T, Puma and Unilever.
Sanity emphasizes developer experience, open source editors, and an API-first approach, providing a customizable and flexible platform. Sanity treats content as data, programmed, shaped, and written from a single source of truth. Structured content is suitable for all sales channels, can attract a large number of shoppers, and help companies understand what the audience is really interested in.
Brandon Chu, Shopify's vice president of product acceleration, said that maintaining close cooperation with Sanity is one of the company's strategic priorities because high-quality products and brand content are very important for merchants to attract more shoppers.
“Our collaboration and early partnership on Hydrogen and Oxygen content apps opens up new potential for Shopify customers, the developer community building on Shopify and Sanity, and consumers who ultimately benefit from the shopping experience,” said Magnus Hillestad, CEO and co-founder of Sanity.
