Dubizzle is the leading classifieds site for users in the UAE. Since it was launched in 2005 by JC Butler and Sim Whatley, Dubizzle has become the number one platform for users to buy, sell or find anything in the community.

Most of the ads on Dubizzle are free, there are currently six sections that charge for ads:

1. Properties for sale

The cost of each ad to be posted in this section is 249 AED, and your ad will stay on the site for 2 months with a refresh tool, which means you can push your ad to the top list after seven days. After the last refresh date, your ad will still be live for another 2 months, but this can vary from city to city.

2. Property rental (agents only)

If you wish to offer a package online, you will start with 5 free packages per day, with a daily free credit of 1.

3. Property rental (landlord only)

Each ad will cost you 249 AED per ad. You can place as many rental property ads as you have landlords at any given time. As an added value, your listing will automatically refresh 8 times in a month to move it to the top of its section.

4. Room rental

Each ad will cost you 49 AED as an added value, your ad will be live on the site for 30 days unless you decide to remove it sooner and get 3 updates within the first 10 days of the posting date.

5. Used car sales

The classic package costs 199 AED. (The price depends on the package you choose)

6. Work

Each ad costs 149 AED.

How to place ads

Please follow the steps below to place an ad on Dubizzle.

1. After logging in, click the "Place Ad" button in the upper right corner of the page.

2. After entering the "Category" page, select the category of the project you want to promote.

3. In the sub-category, select the type of item you wish to advertise.

4. Determine what type of subcategory it belongs to.

5. Fill in the details about your ad.

6. To preview your ad, click "View Now". If you want to add more information, click "Edit Ad"

7. For the first time, users are asked to send a text message to activate their ad/account.

FAQ

Q: How does a business register for VAT and obtain a Tax Registration Number (TRN)?

A: Businesses can register for VAT through the e-services section on the FTA website. However, you will first need to register for an account.

Q: I am a business owner. I am registered with the Federal Tax Authority in the UAE and have received my certificate and Tax Registration Number (TRN). Do I need to share this with Dubizzle?

A: Yes, once you have received your Tax Registration Number (TRN) you will need to send this information to Dubizzle. This is important to update your account details and ensure your TRN is reflected on your monthly tax invoices from Dubizzle. You will need to include your Tax Registration Number (TRN) in your invoices in order to claim back VAT on your VAT return.

Q: Can I publish ads in different cities?

A: Service ads can be posted in up to three different cities, but ads posted in other sections can only be posted in one city.

Q: Why did my ad disappear? How long will my ad stay on the website?

A: Please note that your ad will remain on the site until you remove it or it expires.

The length that a listing remains on the site before it expires can vary by city.

Here is a list of the current minimum times ads in each section stay on the site:

2: Cars > Used Cars: Classic Package 30 days; (The number of days varies depending on the package you choose)

3: Properties for sale: 60 days;

4: Property rental: 30 days;

5: Work: 30 days;

6: Community: 30 days.
