Newegg and TikTok join forces to open up the live streaming sales channel!

It is learned that according to foreign media reports, as part of its marketing strategy, Newegg has been increasing its layout of social e-commerce. The company's live streaming platform Newegg Live has successfully promoted Newegg's online sales.

 

According to reports, Newegg Live was launched in September 2021 by Newegg's media team. It is a real-time platform that supports merchants to interact with consumers, mainly showcasing some of the hottest technology products on the Newegg platform. Newegg Live has also cooperated with TikTok. In addition to its mobile app Newegg, live shopping videos can also be seen on TikTok.

 

Newegg Live holds several live events every week, which are designed to provide brands with the opportunity to interact with consumers, offer better product prices than on the platform, and help consumers make more informed purchasing choices.

 

During live events, hosts need to provide a three-dimensional view of the product, in-depth descriptions, and showcase product features such as performance, sound, and video. Hosts also need to write their own scripts, answer questions from viewers, and showcase product features to maintain audience engagement.

 

“Our customers are tech-savvy and watch live broadcasts on their phones,” said Drew Roder, Director of Newegg. “Newegg Live allows more viewers to learn about our products and interact with our hosts. Newegg Live events have achieved great results in driving product purchases on the platform.”

 

It is learned that as of now, Newegg Live mainly showcases live events of some top brands and products, such as gaming computers, computer components, monitors and other core categories of products, creating successful opportunities for many sellers.
