Meta and DoorDash have reached a cooperation! Small items can be delivered within 48 hours!

It is learned that according to foreign media reports, Meta recently announced a partnership with online delivery platform DoorDash. DoorDash's drivers will provide delivery services for consumers who purchase goods on Facebook Marketplace.

It is reported that the express delivery service provided by DoorDash fills the gap in local delivery options in Facebook Marketplace. Currently, the service only supports items that can be placed in the trunk of a car, and the deliveryman will complete the delivery within 48 hours.

In recent months, Meta and DoorDash have tested this service in several cities in the United States, allowing users to receive items purchased from Facebook Marketplace without leaving their homes.

Meta and DoorDash confirmed the tests and said the partnership is in the early stages. The two companies have been offering free delivery to entice customers to try the service, according to a person familiar with the matter. It is unclear how the two companies will charge for delivery in the future.

It is understood that the two companies have been discussing cooperation since at least 2021. During the conversation, DoorDash hopes to create more work for its drivers, especially when the drivers are not busy delivering lunch and dinner. It is worth noting that in January of this year, Meta also appointed DoorDash CEO Tony Xu as a member of the board of directors.

Over the past two years, Meta has made e-commerce a business focus, and as e-commerce rises, the company hopes to become a leader in online shopping. Meta has been continuously launching new shopping features in its application to attract consumers to buy on Facebook Marketplace and increase sales opportunities for businesses.
