This baby product was urgently recalled! Involving AliExpress and Temu platforms

It is learned that the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently announced a recall of Meiling Hou crib bumpers made in China. The reason for the recall is that infants and young children may be trapped in a position where they cannot move when turning over or rolling in the bed, posing a suffocation hazard.

The recall involves the No. 1 and No. 2 crib bumpers, which are padded cotton bumpers that are 79 inches long and 12 inches high and are sold in clear zipper bags. The No. 1 crib bumper is white and gray with a cloud pattern. The No. 2 crib bumper is white.

It is reported that the product was sold on Aliexpress.com and Temu.com from November 2022 to January 2023, with approximately 125 units sold in the United States at a price of approximately US$26.

The remedy for this recall is that the purchaser needs to contact Meiling Hou for a full refund. The purchaser needs to cut the binding cords on the crib bumper and provide Meiling Hou with photos of the destroyed product. After Meiling Hou receives the photos, the purchaser will receive a refund.

In May 2022, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Act designated crib bumpers and tilt sleeper products as hazardous products and prohibited their production or sale. The reason is that both products pose a risk of suffocation and have been linked to multiple domestic reports of infant deaths. In recent years, many companies have been required to recall tilt cribs sold by the CPSC. Hereby remind all major sellers not to sell these two types of products to prevent huge losses.
