Linda Yaccarino takes over as Twitter CEO! Works to restore advertising revenue!

Linda Yaccarino took office as the new CEO of Twitter on June 5, Elon Musk appointed her to take charge of the social network, it was learned.

One of the executive's main challenges will be attracting advertisers to the platform, which has seen revenue decline since Musk took over.

Hours after officially starting as Twitter CEO, she tweeted:

Musk announced mid-last month that Yaccarino will "focus primarily on business operations" while he focuses on "product design and new social networking technologies."

The female executive wants former NBCUniversal and Turner Broadcasting System executives to improve relationships with brands to boost business. Before Musk bought Twitter, advertising accounted for 90% of the company's revenue.

Important Executive Changes at Twitter

Twitter's new CEO announced that while she currently performs her duties in New York, she will soon move to Twitter's corporate base in San Francisco.

She also welcomed former NBCUniversal colleague Joe Benarroch, who will take a position in the business operations area at Twitter, according to the company's internal farewell note.

"Welcome to the flock, Joe! From one bird to the next. Let's get to work , Twitter! Flight time," Benarroch responded, saying she couldn't wait to join "the teams and departments that build Twitter 2.0 ," a new era for technology.

It is reported that Twitter recently resigned two key executives, one is Ella Irwin, as Twitter's head of trust and safety, and the second is AJ Brown, as the head of brand safety and advertising quality.

The departures come in the wake of controversy surrounding a documentary on gender issues that was initially rejected on the platform as hate speech and ultimately published by Musk himself on his website following a complaint from its distributor, conservative media outlet The Daily Wire.
