What is the best product selection approach in 2021?

Product selection focuses on:

Market capacity (Google Trends, find several product keywords for comparison).

The number of sellers (search keywords on the Amazon front-end and see how many results match the seller’s listings).

Real sales (I recommend using jungle scout, I have used it for a year and it feels very good, the error is not big, don’t use pirated products as they are fake).

How many reviews are there (I have always believed that product selection should be linked to one’s own strength. My strength is relatively weak, so I choose products with less than 500 reviews, that is, the listing with the best sales and highest ranking).

Operational prospects (look at the strength of sellers in the category. Big sellers look down on categories with small market capacity. Market capacity refers to the size of sales. Look at the sellers listing on the first page of keywords and the quantity range of their reviews. If there are few reviews, products with good sales rankings on the homepage can be defined as alternative products).

Alternative products : You also need to consider the profits, whether it is suitable for FBA or FBM, and whether it has patents, copyrights, etc. (asking the factory directly is a good channel).

There is a drawback to data selection, which is that some products with short life cycles and relatively popular products are often selected. Such products need to be combined with trends to see whether they are suitable for FBA. For more advanced products, user portraits are required, such as Facebook's user market analysis software.

Product selection is one aspect, and the next step is to combine it with the ability to write listings. The listing can be just one sentence, starting from the user's perspective, and be more detailed and simple. You can find it from the reviews of competitors.

1. Negative reviews: Use negative reviews to identify pain points and improve them if possible.

2. Positive reviews: Look for selling points in positive reviews. Find the most common features, which are usually what buyers care about most. Write them into the listing.

3. Use Google Trends to find the main keywords and a few suitable words to embed into the five points of the listing: description, title, and ST. Write pictures according to the layout of the listing.

If that doesn’t work, then imitate the top three sellers; their listings have been verified by the market and are the most authoritative.
