Breaking news! Sellers have tens of thousands of reviews overnight!

This morning our seller communication group was in an uproar. Many sellers were asking why they had thousands more reviews when they woke up! Some sellers even said that 7,000 or 8,000 reviews were not enough, and they had more than 20,000 reviews!

There are even group members who showed off their own reviews with over 100,000 views. Is there so many hidden talents in our group?

The truth is, these tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of reviews appeared out of thin air last night . The actual review content cannot be found, and the seller’s overall star rating has not changed due to the addition of tens of thousands of positive reviews.

Such a large-scale impact is obviously not something that a third-party seller or service provider can achieve, so there is no need to worry about malicious attacks. This time, the system big brother will have to take the blame.

Some sellers have already received responses from official customer service stating that this is indeed a system problem and will be fixed soon.

Although there is no big problem with system failure, the signal released behind this failure requires sellers to be vigilant.

When a bug occurred in Review earlier this year, we reported it before (click here for details). This incident was almost a counterexample of the fact that there were tens of thousands more Reviews out of thin air. The hot-selling product was completely wiped out from the Reviews!

We also mentioned in the report that Amazon's rule of spurts is that whichever module has action, that module is likely to spurt. The reason behind the Review spurt must be that Amazon will screen the Reviews or update the policies in the near future.

There was indeed a wave of review cleanups and store closures before the Spring Festival, which is also Amazon's usual style of settling accounts after the event. Usually they turn a blind eye, but if you violate the rules, they will record it in their little notebook and clean it up before the big promotion festival.

It just so happens that it is approaching Prime Day, and according to Amazon’s previous practice, they will conduct a wave of screening. In addition, today’s review fluctuations are also a warning.

Sellers must be very low-key in the near future, especially when it comes to review operations, and must not run into the platform's rectification target.

Amazon now has lower and lower tolerance for illegal operations, and the living space for fake orders or black technology operations is getting smaller and smaller. Only refined operation routes can survive in such an environment.

*As of the time of posting, the number of reviews for some sellers has returned to normal
