After suffering enough from shipping restrictions, Amazon finally relaxed its storage capacity restrictions!

As the Spring Festival holiday approaches, the atmosphere of returning home and celebrating the New Year is gradually getting stronger, but the epidemic situation at home and abroad remains severe. On January 19, the number of newly confirmed cases in the United States exceeded 120,000. Under the epidemic, cross-border sellers are also having a hard time.

Since last year, the situation of cross-border logistics has not been optimistic. Warehouse overflows, delays, and container shortages have become commonplace, but the various "catfish effects" caused by logistics problems are even more of a headache for sellers!

At the end of the year, more and more sellers are worried about stocking up and replenishing stocks. In recent days, in the seller communication group, sellers often ask about ways to break through the shipping restrictions .

It can be said that sellers have suffered enough from logistics and delivery restrictions, but fortunately, now the hard work has paid off. There are reports that Amazon has relaxed its storage capacity restrictions and now the replenishment quantity has more than tripled. What is the specific situation?

Amazon Japan releases notice to relax warehouse entry restrictions

After learning about the lifting of warehousing restrictions, many sellers went to the backend to check whether the number of shipments from their accounts had increased, and found that there was indeed a trend of relaxation, while sellers on the Japanese site directly received relevant emails from Amazon.

The email stated: Amazon Logistics is gradually relaxing the restrictions on warehouse entry to allow sellers to warehouse more inventory. Now, our restrictions on warehouse entry are three times looser than when they were first implemented , and sellers can warehouse at least 4.5 months of inventory .

The email also stated that regarding new FBA products, sellers can now warehouse three times the amount of inventory as when the restrictions were first implemented, and sent a signal that the restrictions on warehousing will continue to be relaxed in the future.

After receiving the email, a seller on the Japanese site checked the inventory capacity of products with daily sales of more than 50 per ASIN and found that the restrictions had indeed been relaxed. The original maximum number of items that could be put into storage was around 3,000, but now it has increased to more than 5,000.

However, the seller said that this notification still varies from person to person. The seller's account situation is different, and the inventory capacity changes will also vary, but the sellers who received the email basically increased their inventory capacity.

At the same time, some sellers also said on Weibo: Amazon Japan has begun to relax ASIN shipping restrictions, and the shipping quantity is 3-4 times that of before . New sellers can probably take it easy and look forward to the relaxation of restrictions on the North American site.

The North American station lived up to expectations and began to release signals of wide storage capacity restrictions.

Amazon North America also relaxes storage capacity restrictions

I believe many sellers have a deep understanding of how uncomfortable it is to have restrictions on shipping. From March last year to now, the restrictions of nearly a year have made many sellers miserable.

A seller posted a screenshot of a chat with his colleague on Weibo, saying that this was the current situation of the warehouse after the shipment restrictions.

From the picture, we can see that the seller has a large number of shipping plans and a great pressure on the warehouse. Warehouses are overloaded and multiple shipping plans are created. I believe this is also the current situation of many sellers. Fortunately, the sellers have finally seen the light at the end of the tunnel. Now the US site has also received good news that the storage capacity restrictions have been relaxed.

A few days ago, many sellers said that the US restrictions on restocking have been relaxed, and the restocking quantity of many sellers' new products has increased to more than 700.

Some sellers on Weibo also said that Amazon has relaxed the replenishment restrictions for new products to 750 units , and speculated that Amazon will relax the replenishment restrictions for old products next.

However, some sellers said that although Amazon has relaxed the replenishment restrictions, this policy only applies to those well-selling products and small and medium-sized items, not new products.

This morning, a seller posted on Weibo: The inventory capacity is indeed released more in the morning, but it is only limited to those selling well . At the same time, it is found that the capacity of other listings that are also good is even less.

In this regard, the editor asked some sellers and found that the inventory capacity updates of different accounts are also different. In some cases, the replenishment capacity of new products has increased, but that of old products has not; in others, small and medium-sized items are allowed in old accounts, but large items and new products are still restricted.

In addition, sellers on the European site have not yet received any notification regarding the relaxation of inventory capacity, and the backend product inventory capacity restrictions have not been opened.

Based on the above, Amazon's relaxation of storage capacity restrictions currently mostly occurs in Japan and North America. Sellers in Europe are still restricted, and the changes in storage capacity limits for each seller's account are different and vary from person to person.

But in general, Amazon is gradually relaxing the restrictions on warehousing, which is undoubtedly a good signal for sellers. This move can alleviate the pressure of sellers to replenish stocks to a certain extent. Sellers should seize the opportunity, ensure sufficient supply, adjust replenishment plans, and strive to send goods to FBA warehouses before holidays.

I wonder what the situation is like for sellers on other sites. How many times have the shipments increased? Welcome to leave a message in the comment area~
