Important notice: Amazon’s 10 billion discount subsidy, products are given an additional 20% discount!

Amazon has made two major moves in the past few days. From June 5 to July 21, two items can be registered in the Amazon Vine program for free, and a 20% coupon that is close to a "10 billion subsidy" appears on the front desk.

Today, many friends saw two discounts on their products inexplicably at the front desk.

promo code: TELE20AB

Save $5 promo code: K2N4N2N4N56Q

Whether it is a hot-selling mobile phone case, seasonal products, or food categories with a higher threshold, all of them have been given an additional 20% discount by the platform , and there is a unified discount code: TELE20AB

This caused a lot of controversy, and many sellers said that their products all had this discount:
" Those who haven't set up membership discounts or coupons also see them. Each link has a variation showing the discount, and refreshing it will show another variation. I'm speechless. "
"It must be a bug. All AISNs show a 20% discount and they all have the same code."
" Is the system acting up again? My heart is frightened every day. "

This is the first time I have seen this in all my years of working in this industry!
With such a high discount, plus the discount on the product itself, if it were true, the inventory would be sold out in an instant. If it is not true, then what is going on?

I opened a case with customer service and checked the terms of the plan. The answers to the questions that sellers are most concerned about are as follows:
1. Amazon pays for the discount promotion

It feels a bit like the Amazon version of the 10 billion subsidy, but everyone's link has this discount, so doesn't that mean there is no discount? What is Amazon thinking ( this is the key point )

2. About joining and leaving
To exit the plan, just contact seller support and ask them to contact the relevant team. There is no path in the background that sellers can operate on their own.

3. How long will the discount last?

3 months? Look at the picture below. It is possible that the results were not good and they gave up. After all, it was a test project.

After tracing the source, it was actually a temporary promotion on the platform, and most categories were restricted , as shown in the figure:

The promotion terms mainly include the following points:

• Offer expires September 1, 2023 at 11:59 PM (PT).

• Offer applies only to products and digital content sold by Amazon or Amazon Services LLC (look for "Sold by Amazon" or "Sold by Amazon Services LLC" on the product or content detail page) and all eBooks made available through Amazon. Products or digital content (except eBooks) sold by third-party sellers or other Amazon entities will not be eligible for this offer, even if "Fulfilled by Amazon.com" or "Prime Qualified."

•Provide good service when supplies are plentiful.

•Digital content and services are available only to customers located in the United States and are subject to the terms and conditions of Amazon Services LLC.

•Shipping charges and taxes may apply to the full value of discounted and free promotional items.

•Items must be purchased in a single order and shipped at the same speed to a single address.

• Offer limited to once per customer and account

In summary, this is a normal discount behavior of Amazon, but this behavior has never happened before. It should be that the traffic and sales of the Amazon platform have declined sharply recently, and at the same time, it has been impacted by emerging platforms such as Temu, so it has also begun to subsidize consumers to increase the traffic and conversion of the platform. I hope that this subsidy from Amazon can benefit both buyers and sellers.
