Amazon makes another big move!



Recently, at the just-concluded 2024 Amazon Nanjing Summit, Zac , Amazon CPF Global Product Director, clearly stated: The click-through rate of green label products increased by 32 times, and annual sales increased by 12%!


Official certification! Green label brings double boost in sales and traffic

Since Amazon launched its climate-friendly commitment program, there has been endless debate about whether or not green labels are necessary, and many sellers are hesitant about whether to use green labels.


But this time, Amazon's official data verification is here! Green labeling is really useful! Amazon CPF Global Product Director Zac announced a series of official data at the 2024 Amazon Nanjing Summit :


●From 2021 to 2024, more than 100 million Amazon users have switched from traditional products to green label products.


●The average annual sales of green label products increased by 12%.


●The average page views of green-label products increased by 10%.


●The click-through rate of green-label products increased by 32 times.



The seller said: Thank you for the invitation, Green Label’s revenue has reached hundreds of millions!

Take Anker Innovations as an example. In 2023, Anker Innovations achieved a revenue of 17.507 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.85%; net profit attributable to the parent company was 1.615 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 41.22%. It is worth noting that in 2023, 57.10% of Anker Innovations' revenue came from Amazon. Therefore, Anker Innovations' rapid expansion is inseparable from its deep cultivation in the green and low-carbon field. Low carbon allows it to better occupy Amazon's traffic high ground.


In 2023, Green Boat and ClimatePartner conducted carbon footprint certification for Anker Innovations' products. In this process, Green Boat calculated the carbon footprint of the products throughout their life cycle, helped Anker develop a future emission reduction plan for the products, and applied for green labels for all products participating in the certification.


In addition to Anker, well-known big sellers such as Jackery, Ecoflow , and Baseus have also joined the Climate Friendly Commitment Program with the help of Green Boat, obtained the Green Label, and achieved good results on Amazon. Many of their products have been at the top of Amazon's category rankings for many years. Obviously, many big sellers have made a fortune quietly by relying on the Green Label.


The platform continues to increase investment, which is beneficial to green label products

In 2019, Bezos promised that Amazon would achieve net carbon neutrality by 2040. To achieve this goal, Amazon launched the Climate Friendly Commitment (CPF) program in 2020, and the Climate Friendly Certification (also known as the "Green Label") is an important part of this program. To date, the number of Green Labels has expanded to 57, and sellers only need to choose one of them for certification to obtain the Green Label.


According to the speech of Zac, Amazon's global product director of CPF, at the 2024 Amazon Nanjing Summit, Amazon will further promote the deepening and development of the CPF plan in the future. Zac made it clear that Amazon will make it its mission to make it easy for consumers to discover and switch to more sustainable products, support more sustainable products, focus on displaying green label products, and make Amazon the world's most trusted sustainable shopping destination. This means that the platform will increase its support for green label products, further expand the number of green label products, and encourage consumers to buy more green label products.


Currently, the CPF program has covered 14 sites, and relevant data also shows that in 2023, there will be more than 1.4 million green-label products available for purchase on Amazon, an increase of 157% over 2022, and the cumulative sales of green-label products will reach 1.16 billion, an increase of 42% over 2022. As the CPF program continues to advance, these figures will continue to grow.


Big sellers continue to pour in, find the right service provider before entering the game!

By obtaining the green label, sellers can not only receive official free traffic support, but also get the opportunity to display in the special zone, further improving product exposure and promoting product transactions. On November 1, Amazon officially launched the CPF ( Climate Pledge Friendly ) data traffic port. It provides sellers with real-time and accurate data feedback, making them more confident in the battle for traffic during the peak season and obtaining more high-quality traffic.


According to data from Green Boat, among the top 100 brands sold by Chinese sellers on Amazon, nearly 50% have at least one product certified with the green label, and 80% of Anker's products have been certified with the green label. The speed at which green label products are developing is staggering.


However, as many sellers see the benefits of green labels and flock to them, a large number of service providers have also violated regulations, such as "copying certificates" and concealing information, which has brought risks to sellers. Amazon is cracking down on fake certificates and copying certificates through traceability and random inspections. Non-compliant certificates will result in the revocation of the green label and damage to the brand.


Therefore, it is recommended that all sellers carefully choose service providers when entering the green label market, make comparisons from multiple sources, verify certificate reports, and ensure that the service providers are compliant and reliable to avoid losses.
