What is Malaysia CIDB Building Product Certification? Malaysia CIDB Building Product Certification Review
CIDB is the regulatory body in charge of the construction industry in Malaysia. Its full name is the Construction Industry Development Board. Its regulatory scope includes engineering projects and construction products. All overseas construction products exported to Malaysia need to be certified by CIDB, that is, a COA (Certificate of Approval) is issued.

Related Introduction:

CIDB certification is divided into two modes, batch mode (FTTR mode) and certificate mode (PCL mode). The FTTR mode adopts the method of port inspection and formal test, which belongs to batch certification. If the port inspection fails, a formal test is required, and import customs clearance is carried out after obtaining the PPS certificate. If the type test fails, the goods will be destroyed; the PCL mode adopts SIRIM factory inspection + formal test. After obtaining the SIRIM certificate, apply for a COA certificate from CIDB. It is suitable for products with high export frequency and can be exported an unlimited number of times during the validity period of the certificate.

Authentication Mode:

l FTTR mode, that is, batch certification mode, requires a COA certificate for each shipment. If the inspection fails at the port, a PPS certificate needs to be applied for and key tests are performed. A COA certificate is obtained after the test is passed. If the test fails, the goods are returned or destroyed on the spot.

l PCL mode, before applying for CIDB's COA certificate, you need to obtain SIRIM's PCL certificate
