FBA's inventory capacity surges during peak season? Sellers can solve inventory worries!

Amazon has undergone many changes in recent times. Not only has the search page changed wildly, but recently some sellers have discovered a mysterious black circle on the Amazon backend login page.

A big black circle appeared in the backend of Amazon

Because this "bitten cake" appeared close to the Mid-Autumn Festival, many sellers jokingly called it "dark circles" or "black mooncake".

Since last Saturday, Amazon has started to see "bitten pie" in the backend, and no operations can be performed, and no pictures, texts, or videos can be added to the frontend, which has seriously affected the daily operations of sellers.

"What is this?"

“Amazon paints a rosy picture for sellers”

"The big mooncake Amazon sent in advance for the Mid-Autumn Festival was still eaten!"

“Amazon celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival in advance.”

At first, the sellers thought it was just a bug in Amazon’s backend and that it would recover if they waited a while. However, there was no change for three or four days and the “big black mooncake” still did not disappear.

This really annoyed the sellers. Time is money for them. They couldn’t even manage the orders and the daily management of the store. They could only pace back and forth and pat their thighs. How much money did they lose in this day? !

Amazon responded that there was a technical problem on Amazon's side and the technical team is working hard to fix it. Some sellers shared several ways to solve the black circle:

  • There are problems with both the frontend and backend, so just use a VPN.

  • You can go directly to Google Chrome - Settings and select Custom DSN

  • This can be solved by modifying the DSN: Change the original DSN to 114 public DSN

    step:

Network and Sharing Center - Change adapter - Right-click Properties - Internet Protocol Version 4 - Change DSN server to: 114-114-114-114.

Amazon FBA inventory capacity surges

Recently, Amazon released a new announcement, which is about to adjust the inventory limits of FBA sellers!

Pick out the key points:

We recommend that you plan ahead to ensure your shipments arrive by October 26, 2023 so that they can be received and ready for fulfillment before Black Friday as we do every September and October.

Due to the way we manage our fulfillment center operations during the holiday season, most sellers will see higher estimated capacity limits in October and lower estimated capacity limits in November. On average, the November estimated capacity limits provide enough storage space for six months of inventory.

If you need additional capacity, you can request an increase to your limit through Capacity Manager , and to ensure you have inventory available, you can use Amazon warehousing and fulfillment, and we will automatically replenish fulfillment centers as needed.

During the peak season, expanding storage capacity can ensure product inventory security to a certain extent and minimize a series of problems caused by sellers being out of stock during the peak season. However, some sellers have doubts about the adjustment of storage capacity policy:

“It’s a little crazy/worrying to be honest that we have no confirmed inventory limits for October and we only have 3 weeks left.”

“Who cares if you have enough capacity? When is the famous Amazon holiday going to start? We can’t wait more than 6 months for customers to return their products this year.”

“What happens in November when the capacity restrictions are lifted? Are we going to pay a little more for things that were shipped in October, or can we no longer ship things that exceed the limit?”

Some sellers even said: If we increase the storage capacity now, we will have to pay three times the peak season storage fee after delivery. This is totally unfair!

It has to be said that sellers have it very hard. On the one hand, they are overwhelmed by the problem of Amazon warehouse overload during this period, and they also have to worry about whether the products can be put on the shelves normally and whether they will be affected by extreme weather or other factors.

Sellers still need to make reasonable plans and ship goods rationally based on their own sales situation.
