Affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, FBA warehouses have been very tight recently, so the "FBA-50 Shipping Restriction" plan was born! And according to the current situation, this restriction will not be relaxed for a while! Due to the increasingly serious epidemic in Amazon warehouses, there was even a situation where more than 30 workers in one warehouse were infected! On April 24, an Amazon employee broke the news that more than 30 workers at the Amazon warehouse outside New York City had been infected with the new coronavirus. The report pointed out that Amazon confirmed the news that some employees were infected, but refused to disclose the total number of infections. In fact, the epidemic in Amazon warehouses has already reached a very serious level! At present, there have been more than 50 Amazon warehouses across the United States with new crown cases! This has caused some workers to worry about their own safety and launched a strike. Labor unions and newly elected officials have called on Amazon to close warehouses. Beijing time, April 21st morning news, Amazon warehouse employees plan to hold a "large appeal" event this week, hoping that their current situation of insisting on working but lacking protective measures during the COVID-19 pandemic can attract outside attention. Earlier, during a strike march by employees of the JFK8 warehouse on Staten Island in New York City, a worker held up a sign that read, "It's hard for a business to shut down for a few weeks. But it's more painful to say goodbye to your loved ones forever!" The main reason for their strike was that the workers believed that Amazon concealed the epidemic in the warehouse. Without any disinfection measures, they still wanted the workers to continue working! These workers made several demands to Amazon: respect employees' right to know, and shut down the warehouse for two weeks for deep disinfection. The final result was that Amazon fired the warehouse worker who organized the strike for violating social distancing regulations. The New York mayor then announced an investigation into the matter, and the state attorney general also asked the U.S. labor department to conduct a related investigation. Judging from the current situation, it is a luxury to expect Amazon warehouses to lift restrictions immediately, and sellers have to find other ways to ship their goods! Sellers have their own countermeasures for the FBA-50 shipping restriction. Currently, the method of breaking through the FBA-50 shipping restriction has been widely circulated! Step one: make a shipment, don't make it to 50, and then be done. Step 2: Create a new shipment. Select Add to Existing Plan for the new shipment, and then the shipment will not be completed.
Step 3: Repeat step 2 quickly. If you delay for too long, you may not be able to add more! After the delivery limit was exceeded, sellers began to worry: Will their accounts be blocked? According to what we know, some sellers have already suffered! Some sellers said: Don’t break the limit, my friend’s stores have been blocked! Note, it’s not a warning, but a direct loss of sales privileges!
Amazon has also announced that it is unable to provide more information and will not accept requests to increase quantity limits. If the goods sent exceed the limit, the account may be suspended!
Therefore, friends, please be careful when shipping! In addition, while Amazon limits the number of shipments by sellers, it also states that it will not close stores if the order defect rate, cancellation rate, and late shipment rate are high. This is really painstaking! Yesterday, a seller once again received an email from Amazon stating that “ the account will not be blocked despite high order defect rate, cancellation rate, and late shipment rate ” ! The email stated: To protect your account and ensure these issues do not impact your account standing, we have stopped suspending selling accounts due to high order defect rate, cancellation rate, and late shipment rate. These measures will be in place through at least May 15, and we will extend them if necessary. During this special period, it is particularly important to make reliable promises to buyers. Therefore, if you are unable to deliver orders to buyers, we recommend that you set your account to vacation status. In addition, in order to compensate sellers, Amazon also provides a series of preferential measures: 1. Suspend repayments on all Amazon Lending Program loans for sellers in the US and UK until April 30. 2. Waive two weeks of inventory storage fees for products stored in fulfillment centers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, and the Czech Republic. 3. Waive long-term storage fees on April 15 for inventory stored in fulfillment centers in the above countries/regions. Although the above measures are very meaningful, the most urgent thing for sellers is to ensure that there is a constant supply of goods! I hope Amazon can take epidemic prevention measures in warehouses as soon as possible, ensure the safety of workers, and speed up the delivery and receipt of goods. Otherwise, in the long run, it will cause great losses to sellers, platforms, employees, and buyers! |
