One seller said, “I bought a special Christmas-themed product on November 16th, which should have been put on the shelves long ago. I opened a case to ask customer service and found out that products put into the warehouse after December 1st may be counted as products of 2021, which means they may not be put on the shelves this year.


The response from the logistics company was that the first delivery on the 26th was due to Amazon’s warehouse being full and the goods could not be delivered, so we will arrange another one on the 30th. Now we have negotiated with the logistics company to help deliver it on the 30th, but we don’t know if Amazon will have a warehouse full again. If not, this batch of goods will have to be kept until next year .”



Amazon previously issued a notice that inventory for the Christmas shopping period should be delivered to Amazon's operations center before December 1, 2020.


Many Amazon sellers’ Christmas products are still stuck on the way. If they follow Amazon’s notice, it will be too late to sell them. However, there have been problems with shipping and air transportation recently. Amazon should decide based on the backlog in the warehouse and the handling of the staff . Whether to put the products on the shelves depends entirely on the seller’s character and luck .

Amazon releases new policy

Recently, Amazon updated a notice about product pricing, stating that incorrect pricing will cause the seller's products to be suspended. The details are as follows;  



The notice stated that Amazon has been working to improve pricing and will detect potential pricing errors in sellers' listings based on market fair pricing policies and featured offers. When Amazon determines that a pricing error has occurred, it will send a notification to the seller.


Now, sellers can see quotes that do not meet the recommended quote requirements. In order to avoid giving consumers a negative experience of high product prices, they may close the affected listings and stop selling the relevant products.


Seeing this notice, consumers laughed and sellers cried.


"This system is a joke. I have some products that are lower than the price in Walmart, and Amazon marks it as a high pricing error. Amazon should not force sellers to sell at a loss and lower their prices than competitors. This is market price manipulation. No seller wants such a rule!"


“It is ridiculous to let a machine decide fair prices! This will lead to a lot of unethical sabotage. If Amazon is going to define the parameters of fair pricing, those parameters should be very broad and follow the min/max prices set by sellers as closely as possible.”


“The closing listing process will affect the seller’s ability to price their listings. The seller may be deactivated every time they reprice their listings, which will greatly affect their business!”


Obviously, most sellers are opposed to this new policy. In addition to having a certain impact on market prices, it will also bring many difficulties to sellers' product operations.
