At the conference, LianLian Pay's parent company LianLian Digital launched LianLian Link, the world's first online transaction platform for cross-border e-commerce services. LianLian Pay elaborated on its 2019 cross-border business development strategy and released a series of innovative products.

2018 is the fifth year since the Belt and Road Initiative was proposed, and the “Selling Globally” initiative is advancing by leaps and bounds. 2018 is also the fifth year that LianLian Pay has carried out a pilot program for cross-border RMB settlement business, and it is also the fifth year that LianLian Pay has been deeply involved in the cross-border e-commerce industry. This year, LianLian Pay proposed the “Core Strategy” and “330 Plan”, and its global layout continued to advance, gradually leading the innovation of the cross-border e-commerce industry.

LianLian Pay CEO Pan Guodong revealed at the conference that by the end of 2018, LianLian Pay's cumulative transaction amount exceeded 2.79 trillion yuan, the cumulative number of transactions exceeded 926 million, and the cumulative number of users served reached 369 million. In the field of cross-border payments, LianLian has served more than 390,000 cross-border e-commerce sellers, with a cumulative cross-border transaction amount of more than 93 billion yuan.

The current cross-border e-commerce industry is full of rapid development and competition. LianLian Pay's outstanding achievements are due to its determination to enable sellers to "deliver goods around the world", as well as its deep technical accumulation and strong resource strength. Taking overseas licenses as an example, LianLian has currently obtained payment licenses in the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and other places, and has established companies in Europe, North America, South America, Southeast Asia and other places and applied for local financial licenses.

"LianLian is the only domestic payment company that has so many domestic and overseas payment qualifications in its own ecosystem." Pan Guodong said that this is the support for LianLian to build a new global capital network in the digital age, and it is also the reason why many sellers choose LianLian Pay.

Looking to the future, LianLian has never stopped exploring. "Payment is the most basic link in cross-border transactions. At this conference, LianLian Link, the world's first cross-border e-commerce service online trading platform, was launched, which is the first major move of LianLian's "330 Plan" and the latest achievement of LianLian's exploration of more possibilities beyond payment.

Zhu Xiaosong said that LianLian Link is an online platform that connects the entire cross-border e-commerce industry services and will have an important impact on the future development of the industry. "January 9, 2019 is the day when LianLian Link is officially launched, and it will also be a new starting point for the digitalization of global cross-border e-commerce services."

According to reports, LianLian Link currently integrates the seller platform, service provider platform, developer platform and supplier platform, and provides one-stop full-link services for cross-border e-commerce sellers by aggregating full-category service providers such as store opening, product selection, marketing, logistics, and finance.

Previously, when cross-border e-commerce service providers and suppliers served cross-border e-commerce sellers, they mostly used traditional offline or independent service methods, which were discrete and individual. "The greatest value of LianLian Link is 'connection', connecting suppliers vertically and service providers horizontally, covering the entire industry and the entire process of cross-border e-commerce." With the launch of LianLian Link, millions of cross-border e-commerce sellers across the country only need to log in to the new platform to access a large number of service providers and supplier resources in one stop. In addition, LianLian Link also has a full-category intelligent screening function, which can help sellers match high-quality service providers efficiently and quickly.

In the first half of this year, Lianlian will launch a joint plan to aggregate traffic resources to support cross-border sellers

As the cross-border e-commerce industry enters a period of deep adjustment, competition in the entire industry will become increasingly fierce in 2019, with both opportunities and challenges. At the conference, LianLian Pay Vice President Lv Weiyan said that in the new year, LianLian will continue to grow together with millions of cross-border sellers, forge ahead, and jointly promote Chinese brands to the world.

Product innovation is the soul of LianLian. In 2019, LianLian will continue to try to develop new products, and accelerate product iteration and upgrades based on user needs, to help Chinese sellers better improve capital flow efficiency and enhance core competitiveness. In response to the upcoming US e-commerce consumption tax, LianLian will launch tax payment products to serve cross-border e-commerce sellers, and will soon launch products and services to help cross-border e-commerce sellers operate export tax rebates on the domestic side.

Not long ago, Amazon announced at the 2018 Global Seller Summit that it would open its Indian site to Chinese sellers. Lianlian launched the Amazon India payment function in less than a week and enjoyed exclusive access to Amazon's official store opening green channel. This is the first payment company in China to truly implement the Amazon India payment function. Cooperate with banks to create cross-border loan products to solve sellers' financing problems

In cross-border e-commerce transactions, after a customer places an order, during the long period from the seller's shipment, logistics, settlement to the final receipt of the funds, the seller's goods funds are deposited in the third-party platform and cannot be mobilized, which increases the seller's financial pressure.

At the conference, Hangzhou United Bank launched an online credit product "Cross-border Loan" for Lianlian cross-border sellers. This product can provide operating financing services for sellers with good business performance based on the current actual business conditions of cross-border e-commerce sellers, greatly alleviating the financial pressure of the majority of sellers.

Chai Leiying, general manager of the small and micro business department of the head office of Hangzhou United Bank, said that cross-border loan products have many advantages such as response within seconds, online application without leaving home, and self-service loan with zero waiting. After the user initiates a loan demand, big data analysis will be used as the basis for credit approval, and by helping sellers turn assets into funds, financing pressure will be alleviated.

According to Analysys International’s survey data, in the cross-border export e-commerce industry, small and medium-sized sellers still dominate the market, with more than 85% of cross-border e-commerce sellers having sales below US$2.5 million in 2018. Cross-border loan products are mainly targeted at small and medium-sized sellers, with a wide customer base and corresponding credit lines given according to the sellers’ daily business conditions. They are pure credit loans, without collateral or collateral, and are calculated on a daily basis at a daily interest rate of 2.5 to 3.5 ten-thousandths, and can be borrowed and repaid at any time. This will enable the majority of small and medium-sized sellers to enjoy preferential financing costs, convenient financing channels, and obtain a better product experience. This is also another new measure for Lianlian to implement inclusive finance.

The relevant person in charge of LianLian Cross-border Finance said that LianLian hopes to be a strong backing for the majority of sellers, provide them with ammunition to go global through innovative financial services, solve their capital turnover problems and improve capital turnover efficiency.


Analysys released a white paper on cross-border e-commerce; LianLian Pay ranked first in cross-border brand coverage

At the conference, Analysys, a domestic authoritative consulting agency, released the 2018 China Cross-border Export E-commerce Development White Paper. The white paper pointed out that digital technology has accelerated its penetration and integration into various fields of the economy and society, profoundly changing all areas and links of international trade, and cross-border e-commerce has ushered in new opportunities.

Affected by favorable factors such as policy support and improved market environment, China's cross-border e-commerce export continues to expand. In 2017, the transaction volume of China's cross-border e-commerce export reached 6.3 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.5%. It is expected that the transaction volume will reach 7.9 trillion yuan in 2018.

With the booming cross-border export e-commerce market, cross-border sellers are increasingly demanding financial, logistics and other supporting services, and professional service capabilities will become the core competitiveness of future service providers. When cross-border sellers choose third-party payment products, low rates, high capital security and good brand reputation are important considerations.

According to Analysys International’s survey data, LianLian Pay, Payoneer, PayPal, etc. have won the favor of more than 50% of sellers with their good user experience and channel advantages. Among them, LianLian Pay’s brand influence coverage rate reached 54.24%, ranking first among many cross-border payment products at home and abroad.

At present, the overseas e-commerce market structure is relatively fragmented. With the development of cross-border export e-commerce, the industry will gradually shift towards standardization. In the future, logistics, capital flow, and information flow will be integrated to form a closed transaction loop. Forming an ecological chain and service chain around cross-border e-commerce will be a major trend in the development of the industry.


LianLian Pay launches the "Shata Charity Project" to warm more people with small actions

Zheng Jian, vice president of LianLian Pay, said that 5 cents may seem insignificant, but when countless 5 cents are stacked together, they can also accomplish many big and heartwarming things, which is also the core meaning of the "Shata Charity Project". According to calculations, for every 4,000 cross-border transactions completed, LianLian Pay can buy a pair of new shoes for children in remote mountainous areas, and for every 1.4 million cross-border transactions completed, a deaf child can regain hearing. Judging from the transaction volume of LianLian Pay and the 390,000 cross-border e-commerce sellers it serves, the "Shata Charity Project" will benefit at least thousands of children in remote areas in 2019.
