Fortunately, however, recently, after a large-scale brand verification operation, Amazon seemed to have finally heard the voices of these sellers who were mistakenly harmed. It not only automatically restored the brands of some sellers, but also began to relax relevant brand complaint restrictions.

It is learned that since October 12, sellers have reported that brands that had been previously removed due to abuse were automatically restored by the Amazon system without submitting any appeal materials.

Based on the feedback from sellers and emails from Amazon’s Brand Registry team, the brands that were automatically restored by the system were removed within the past year. Based on this, some sellers have made two guesses: one is that Amazon is dealing with the aftermath of the previous wave of brand abuse that was too widespread; the other is that Amazon is relaxing its brand review policy.
 
It was observed that after a large number of sellers' brands were automatically restored, some sellers whose brands were not automatically restored also began to file appeals. According to these sellers, the approval rate of recent brand abuse appeals has indeed increased compared to September.

It is understood that most sellers file complaints based on emails, uploading supplementary production license certificates/purchase invoices/trademark purchase invoices and other information materials to prove the relationship between the brand owner and the account owner. If there is no complaint entry in the notification, they will find a channel to complain by finding an account manager or sending an email .
 
Due to the increase in the approval rate of appeals, some sellers believe that Amazon is indeed relaxing its brand review recently, but more sellers say that it is too early to conclude that Amazon has relaxed its review.
 
So far, in the above-mentioned wave of brand abuse, there are still a large number of sellers whose brands have not been restored even after multiple complaints. In response to this, some sellers pointed out that brands that do abuse cannot be restored no matter what, and these sellers' brands obviously belong to this category.

It is learned that as early as December last year, Amazon actually launched a wave of large-scale brand removal incidents, and the brands of a large number of seller accounts were removed because they were judged to be abusive.
 
At that time, an official Amazon manager said that the latest round of brand verification would be more stringent than previous ones.
 
Looking back at the wave of brand abuse and number scanning this year, there are many reasons for brand abuse. In addition to the low weight of new stores and brand abuse caused by the rush to follow suit, the most discussed reason is the "black lawyer list" circulated on the Internet.

It is learned that Amazon's brand registration requires sellers to successfully register their trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) before they can apply for it. The USPTO requires applicants or registrants who reside in foreign countries to register trademarks on behalf of a US licensed attorney. Therefore, most sellers can only complete trademark registration through US lawyers.
 
The seller who provided this "black lawyer list" revealed that Amazon has internally blacklisted some American lawyers. Any trademarks named by lawyers on the blacklist will be deemed as brand abuse by Amazon.
 
However, to date, this "black lawyer list" has not been confirmed, and Amazon has not responded to the above news. Therefore, it is difficult for relevant sellers to determine the real reason why their accounts were judged to be linked.
