What is Amazon Project Zero? Amazon Project Zero Review
Amazon's "Project Zero" project aims to combat and eliminate counterfeit products. Brands that join Project Zero will be able to directly mark and remove counterfeit listings of their products on the Amazon website. Currently, Project Zero is available to eligible brands in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and Japan. Launch time February 2019 Chinese Amazon "Project Zero" Nature Anti-counterfeiting stage Testing

Project Introduction

As part of its Project Zero initiative, Amazon has launched a tool that generates a unique code for each product. Brands can print the code onto existing packaging or attach it to product packaging using a label. When these products enter Amazon warehouses, Amazon can scan these codes to determine their authenticity.

Contents

1. Enhanced automatic protection system

Businesses can provide Amazon with their logos, trademarks and other information about their brands, which Amazon uses to scan product listings and remove counterfeit products.

2. Self-service anti-counterfeiting tools

The second self-service anti-counterfeiting tool allows brand owners to remove counterfeit products on their own without having to report them to Amazon. Products removed by this tool will be reflected in the automatic protection feature and help improve the accuracy of counterfeit product detection. Amazon said that for every product removed using this tool, Amazon automatically removes more than 500 counterfeit products on average. So far, this feature has removed 180,000 products.

In addition, if a brand accidentally removes a product, the seller can contact Amazon to immediately cancel the removal. However, if a brand repeatedly obtains statistics, such as removing the same product, or if the brand abuses the tool and lacks accuracy, it may be disqualified from Project Zero.

In addition, the removed sellers can contact Amazon to appeal that their products are not counterfeit. Darmesh Mehta said: "Because we don't want to hurt innocent sellers."

3. Amazon also provides an optional product serialization service for enterprises

Users can add unique Amazon serial numbers to their products during the production process so that Amazon can scan and confirm the authenticity of the product before it leaves the warehouse. Unlike the automatic protection system and self-service options that remove counterfeit product listings, the cost of the serialization service will be calculated based on the number of products, with a charge of $0.01 to $0.05 per product.

use

Companies invited to participate in Project Zero can log into a special portal and search for keywords or images of their products. Brands click on listings they believe are infringing, and Amazon automatically removes the products or sellers.

cost

The feature to remove counterfeit listings is free, but the unique code Amazon assigns to each product costs between 1 and 5 cents, depending on the volume of the product.

Entry requirements

1. Become the rights owner of the trademark.

2. Have an Amazon account with access to the Brand Registry.

3. Submitted potential infringement reports in the past six months with an acceptance rate of at least 90%.

Name collision

The Internet security project announced by Google in July 2014 is also called Project Zero, which aims to discover, track and fix global software security vulnerabilities.
