What is Shopper? Shopper Review
Shopper is a subscription-based monthly delivery service for non-perishable food, cosmetics, beverages, utilities and even pet food or craft beer. Nature Monthly Delivery Platform

Basic Introduction

Shopper is available in more than 500 stores in cities such as Sao Paulo, Santana de Paneba and Baruli. Shopper offers more than 2,000 products and its monthly on-demand delivery model has great potential.

Serve

Shopper offers a monthly subscription delivery service that delivers non-perishable food, cosmetics, beverages, utilities, pet food or craft beer. It is a simple process based on consumer needs and consumption. Consumers only need to add the necessities to the virtual shopping cart and the platform arranges the delivery. Importantly, consumers do not have to worry about the products being sold out because the platform is able to predict users' needs. It sends emails or text messages to remind customers before the stock is sold out.

In addition to packing up all the products a consumer needs and delivering them to their door, the company also offers better prices than some of its competitors. When shopping on the platform, consumers can compare prices and see how much they are saving through Shopper.

Business Model

Another unique aspect of the company is its business model – it does not have any supermarket partners or buyers. Instead, all products are purchased directly from the industry and sent to the company’s distribution center in the Barra Funda area of São Paulo. This further reduces costs.

Financing

In June 2019, Canary invested 4.5 million reais (about 1.1 million U.S. dollars) in Shopper.

In August 2019, Brazil’s online supermarket platform Shopper recently raised 10 million reais (about $2.6 million) in a July investment round led by Canary (Brazilian venture capital firm). José Galló, former CEO of Renner (Brazilian department store clothing company), Juscelino Martins of Grupo Martins (Brazilian wholesale sales company), and Ariel Lambrecht, co-founder of 99/Yellow (Brazilian mobility company), also joined.
