Klout aggregates, measures and analyzes multiple social media activities such as likes, comments and shares in tweets to determine the user's Klout score, enabling users to evaluate their influence for improvement.

Acquisitions

In 2015 , it was acquired by social service company Lithium Technologies for $ 200 million. After that, Lithium launched a product called Reach powered by Klout technology .

Shutdown Service

Klout released a statement on Twitter: To all our fans and users, after careful consideration, we have decided to shut down the Klout website and rating system. This decision is officially effective on May 25 , 2018. We are honored to have the opportunity to serve you. At the same time, we are grateful for your support and love over the years.
