Why Prime Now is not available in China

1. China's delivery efficiency and delivery prices are far higher than those in Europe and the United States

In China, Alibaba, JD.com and other e-commerce platforms offer same-day and next-day delivery services to all users. Instant delivery services within one hour are becoming more and more common in China, with Tmall, Ele.me, and Daily Fresh all providing instant delivery services. Moreover, in the categories that can be delivered as stipulated by the state, instant delivery does not limit the delivery of categories, and can deliver takeout, fresh food, supermarkets, convenience stores, cakes, parcels, etc.

2. Compared with China's instant logistics service companies, Prime Now logistics service has no competitiveness in delivery efficiency and price.

As the world's largest e-commerce platform, Amazon's delivery efficiency is already leading in the United States. According to a new study by Internet RETAiler, Amazon's Prime Now logistics service has greatly increased North American consumers' expectations for logistics speed and forced other retailers to make changes. Internet Retailer's report shows that the average delivery time of 30 large retailers in North America is currently 4 days, while before 2014, the average delivery time for a standard order from American online retailers was 8.3 days, which was only the average speed of China.
