Amazon reported a large number of errors, and the system has bugged again...

Normal, once there is data abnormality, such as sales are falling, conversion rate is abnormal, flow is 0, etc., we need to deal with it in time. Regarding data analysis, we will mainly analyze store traffic data, sales data and advertising data. Through these data, we can observe whether today's sales have increased or decreased. If there is a problem, we can accurately know which link has the problem and make reasonable adjustments.

Amazon sellers have gradually become accustomed to the various technical failures and bugs that frequently occur on the platform.

Shipping page failure

Recently, a large number of sellers have encountered error messages when entering the "Send to Amazon" page in the backend. This is obviously a system problem or bug that has a wide impact. In the seller forum, concentrated feedback on similar issues usually means that this is not an isolated phenomenon, but a dilemma encountered by multiple sellers.

In the comment section below the post, many sellers said that they had also encountered this situation.

“Same, I’m shipping to Canada.”

"I also received a similar prompt. I refreshed it several times but it didn't work. Could it be that the backend crashed?"

“If refreshing the page doesn’t work, you can try deleting the registered shipment information and creating a new one.”

Amazon's official customer service has responded positively to the recent error messages that sellers have encountered when trying to access the "Send to Amazon" page. They said they have noticed this problem reported by a large number of sellers and have immediately sent a team to conduct an in-depth investigation.

Amazon promised to find out the cause of the problem as soon as possible and inform sellers of the latest progress and solutions. From the follow-up messages in the seller forum, some sellers said that their "Send to Amazon" page has been restored to normal use, and the situation seems to have improved but has not been completely resolved.

Amazon's advertising system crashed again!

A few days ago, a large number of system crashes occurred on the US site, and the sellers’ advertising backends were all stuck: ads could not be opened, payments failed, backends could not be accessed, sales could not be seen, and some sellers could not even log in to their accounts...

According to the sellers, the backend crashed at around 6am on July 31, and this major bug only occurred on the US Amazon site! Almost all sellers on the US site encountered a crash, and the backend advertising sales data and advertising exposure could not be displayed . Sellers on the European and Japanese sites said that the backend was normal.

It's not just the ad page that crashed, the ad page, flagship store, Business Reports and Coupons all failed to open . The front-end creation of shipments also kept refreshing (the coupon page can be opened at present)

In fact, we are more or less accustomed to problems in Amazon's backend, but the impact this time is still not small, especially for sellers who have relied on advertising traffic all year round. One operator lamented : "I woke up to find that the number of orders has dropped sharply. I usually rely on advertising to place orders, but when I clicked on the advertisement, I found that it had collapsed again, and the number of orders plummeted by 75%."

For sellers who need to promote new products or adjust their advertising strategies, their ads are running randomly and their ACOSZ is off the charts.

Amazon still has no remedial measures for this large-scale system crash. According to Amazon's past practice, it should issue advertising coupons. All sellers should pay attention to the news of sellers in the circle in the next few days. However, if there is no subsequent remedial measures, the sellers can only consider themselves unlucky!

Coupon page malfunction

Amazon's system stability problems frequently occur, which poses a significant operational obstacle to many sellers. Many sellers have reported that sudden system anomalies or bugs are no longer isolated phenomena. They not only hinder the delivery process, but also lead to a series of other headaches.

Some sellers shared their unfortunate experiences on Amazon's official communication forum, claiming that they encountered the dilemma of "purchasing for free" due to a malfunction in the Amazon system.

The seller described the situation in detail: during the BUG period, his products unexpectedly received a large number of orders, but 500 of these orders were sold at zero yuan. This sudden situation caused him to suffer financial losses of up to $30,000 in a very short period of time.

However, after this incident was discussed and analyzed in depth, most people's views gradually converged. They believed that the so-called "zero-yuan purchase" was not caused by a direct bug in the Amazon system, but was more likely caused by the seller's own mistakes during the operation, inadvertently triggering the superimposed use of coupons, thereby triggering this series of chain reactions.

Although the so-called bug was eventually confirmed to be a misunderstanding , it is undeniable that there are indeed many real bugs in the operation of the Amazon system, which have seriously interfered with the sales plans and rhythm of sellers to varying degrees. The bugs that sellers have encountered recently are far more than these:

  • The customer has successfully placed an order, but the order information mysteriously disappeared in the system and failed to display normally on the seller's interface, causing trouble for order tracking and management.

  • Despite the surge in order volume, jumping from 100 to 500, the product's ranking in the category did not improve significantly as expected. The huge discrepancy between the two is puzzling.

  • Organic traffic has experienced an unprecedented explosive growth, surging from a daily stable 400+ to a peak of 1000+. However, this wave of traffic peak has failed to be effectively converted into actual sales, and sales data remains mediocre.

  • When selecting products and preparing to check out, they encountered system problems and were unable to complete the payment process smoothly. This problem directly affected the shopping experience and conversion rate. Data from Down Detector showed that more than 14,000 consumers were unable to check out due to this BUG on that day.

Even after these sudden system problems are discovered and repaired in a timely manner, the losses and impacts suffered by sellers are often difficult to fully compensate for, and the disrupted sales rhythm cannot be restored overnight.

Therefore, some sellers have suggested that they should take the initiative to conduct in-depth research and understand various technical issues that may arise on the Amazon platform in advance in order to enhance their own adaptability and risk resistance.

In this way, if sellers unfortunately encounter similar situations in the future, they will be able to deal with them more calmly and reduce the additional losses that may be caused by panic.
