Some sellers may ask, my product is just an ordinary product, how could it be marked as an adult product?
1. Being accidentally hurt by Amazon
In most cases, ordinary products are marked as adult products by Amazon by mistake. In fact, there is a problem with Amazon's category collection system, which automatically identifies those products that look a bit ambiguous as adult products and then blocks them. This kind of incident is very common among sellers in the swimwear category. Even hip-lifting pants and body shapers were marked as adult products by Amazon in the past. In this case, sellers can try to change the category by themselves in the background. If the change cannot be made, they can directly open a case to contact the foreign country for complaint and then wait for the review.
2. Problems with the product itself
Previously, a seller revealed that one of his ordinary straws was marked as an adult product by the platform. A large part of the reason for this is that the product design itself has sexual connotations, so it was marked as an adult product by the platform. Amazon has also made clear policies and guidelines on adult products, which state: "Any product shape, packaging, product images that show or imply sexual behavior, and products with pornographic language in the title or description will be marked as 'TRUE. Therefore, sellers should try not to use more revealing images in product images, even if they appear on the product packaging. 3. Being maliciously sabotaged by competitors

How to determine whether a listing is marked as adult products
Step 1: Click [Advertising Campaign Management] under [Advertising].
Step 2: Click [Create Advertising Campaign].
Step 3: Select the campaign type and click [Continue].
Step 4: Scroll to the product selection area. If you see a product that says [Not Qualified], move your mouse over it and you will see a prompt. If the prompt says "Adult products do not meet promotion conditions," it means the product has been marked.
Since you will not be notified by email or text message when other sellers modify your category or when the Amazon system marks your products, seller friends should check their products frequently to see if they are normal, especially those sellers whose products are easily marked. It is not excessive to check once a day.
If a product that previously had good sales suddenly experiences a sharp drop in orders for several consecutive days, you must check it in time. Otherwise, after being marked, you will lose traffic and sales, and your ranking will drop to the bottom. After a long time, the cost of recovering it will be much higher.
Solutions for being labeled as adult products
1. When uploading listing content, including titles, five-point descriptions, product descriptions, and pictures, do not include sexually suggestive information, because Amazon is sensitive to such content. Once it is captured and marked, it will be difficult to successfully appeal.
2. You can study other listings. If you find that their products have not been marked and can be advertised normally, you can save their ASIN code or link.
3. Open a case to complain to Amazon customer service. In the email, carefully explain that your product is not an adult product, but an ordinary product, and give examples of specific scenarios in which it is actually used. And paste the ASIN code or link collected in the second step into the email, telling Amazon customer service that your product is the same as theirs (for example, to give the reviewer a reference. In order to reflect fairness, the reviewer is more likely to remove the mark of your product).
There are several suggestions for opening a case:
Provide the product ASIN to indicate the actual category of the product;
Picture proof, such as invalid advertisements, inability to search for major categories on the front page, and other related screenshots;
In the text description, you can play the emotional card when necessary (for example, you will strictly abide by the rules of the Amazon platform), and your attitude must also be firm (as an Amazon seller, if you encounter such situations frequently, it will seriously affect product sales, etc.).
After submitting the appeal, Amazon customer service will transfer the request to a dedicated team for review. During this process, we should not change the listing content at will. Since the workload of the review team will be relatively large, we must also be patient and wait. When the review results come out, Amazon customer service will call the seller. If the appeal is successful, we will be able to run ads normally, and our sales will increase accordingly, at least much better than similar products marked as adult products.
