Walmart is offering credit services in Mexico to provide loans of up to 6,000 pesos to users of its e-wallet application Cashi, according to foreign media reports. According to reports, the service was announced as a trial in December last year and has just been announced to be fully promoted. This is due to Walmart's successful increase in its share of the Mexican e-commerce market. According to Walmart's Q4 financial report, its net profit in Central America increased by 32% this quarter to 33.435 billion pesos. Walmart's credit service will allow users to pay for "buy online, pick up in store" orders, as well as pay for electricity, phone, water or streaming platform subscriptions through Walmart. Loan funds will be issued through Walmart and Bodega Aurrerá applications. It is learned that the birth of this service means that Walmart pursues the concept of "customer first". Walmart also stated that it will strive to listen to customer suggestions and continuously improve this service. In addition, it may continue to test related services in the future. Guilherme Loureiro, CEO of Walmart Central America, said Walmart wants to take a leading position in the Mexican market by connecting with customers more frequently and in more meaningful ways.
