Amazon account sellers arrested?! Be careful when buying from stores!

In the past two days, sellers have been discussing in our communication group that some professional store number merchants are suspected to be investigated! Amazon officials are likely involved and have initiated KYC audits for some of the stores involved!

I looked up the source of the news and found out that some time ago, Henan police busted a den that illegally acquired personal information and business licenses. It was reported that the company used this information to register Amazon stores and then sold the stores to others.

Those who sell identity information can get a reward of five or six hundred yuan, and if they sell identity information plus a business license, they can get about one thousand yuan. After this company obtains the business license and registers an Amazon store, it will sell it to cross-border sellers for around 3,000 or 4,000 yuan.

In a short period of time, the company made more than 350,000 yuan through this illegal means! Now the 13 suspects involved have been detained and will be prosecuted for crimes such as infringing citizens' personal information. They may face a prison sentence of about 3 years.

It is not clear whether Amazon is involved in this matter, but the recent frequent store postcard verification is likely the result of this incident. Last time, we also reported that Amazon officially cooperated with law enforcement agencies to shut down some service providers, indicating that the two sides have a considerable degree of cooperation. Amazon is very likely to have obtained the business licenses or store records sold by the number dealers investigated by the police through some channels, and launched KYC audits to verify the authenticity of these stores.

Amazon is cracking down on illegal operations such as fake orders and multiple accounts. Even big sellers like Aoki and Patson will be removed for crossing the red line of the platform. The affected sellers can prove their authenticity and pass the KYC audit. If they fail, they can only close the store and run away. There are very few real second-hand stores now. Many of them are registered in batches by account merchants. The information they use is purchased through illegal channels. If they are audited, they can only blame themselves for their bad luck.

If you are unlucky enough to buy a store account registered in bulk by a dealer, in addition to the possibility of KYC verification failure, there are many hidden dangers. In November 2019, a large number of sellers' stores were blocked. Either the account password was incorrect and they could not log in even after changing the password; or it showed abnormal activities and they could not log in. At the same time, the front desk could not find their own stores and products.

After the problem was exposed, it was discovered that a large number of sellers’ accounts purchased from account merchants were collectively closed. This was because the upstream account merchants took advantage of the credit card’s payment rejection mechanism to register a large number of seller accounts in a short period of time and refused to pay the first month’s rent after selling them. Later, Amazon would shut down these accounts due to failed deductions, resulting in the closure of these accounts. The upstream account merchants would run away after making a profit, and the sellers who bought the stores would not be able to protect their rights because it is in a gray area.

This is why we insist that you should not use the purchased account as your main store. If you must buy, give priority to the account of friends and acquaintances. In addition , the number of Amazon account registrations this year is also very high, and the investment manager does not have to rush to find people to register stores. Even if you apply for the investment manager registration yourself, no one will contact you for a long time. This is because Amazon has no shortage of new stores this year.

Because there are so many stores, Amazon’s recent store audits will certainly be stricter than in previous years, and the number of stores affected will be much greater than before.
