Data shows that with the lifting of epidemic blockade restrictions and the full resumption of social activities, the makeup category has returned strongly, with sales increasing by 38% year-on-year, making it the fastest growing category. Perfume sales increased by 24%, skin care sales increased by 17%, and head care product sales saw a strong growth of 27%. The fastest growing segment is perfume, especially eau de toilette. In addition, hair care products and foundation achieved strong growth again this year. Together, these three segments will account for nearly a quarter of the total sales revenue of the Canadian beauty industry in 2022.
