According to a recent survey by RetailMeNot, an online transaction and savings platform, 32% of American consumers will buy gifts in the week before Valentine's Day, and 2% will wait until Valentine's Day (February 14). The survey also found that 40% of American consumers make Valentine's Day shopping two weeks in advance, and 11% of consumers make Valentine's Day purchases at least one month in advance. Female consumers are more likely to buy Valentine’s Day gifts in advance than male consumers.
