Costco's Q2 revenue was $62.53 billion, and e-commerce sales increased by 19%

It is learned that on March 7, the US retail giant Costco released its second quarter financial report for fiscal year 2025. As of February 16, Costco's second quarter revenue was US$62.53 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%.

Here's a summary of Costco's second-quarter financial results:

① Revenue was US$62.53 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%.

② Net profit was US$1.79 billion, compared with US$1.74 billion in the same period last year.

③Total comparable sales increased by 6.5%, and comparable sales in the United States increased by 8.6%.

④International comparable sales decreased by 0.6%, while e-commerce comparable sales increased by 19%.

⑤Membership fee revenue was US$1.19 billion, compared with US$1.11 billion in the same period last year.

The report shows that Costco has 78.4 million paid members and 140 million cardholders this quarter. Globally, Costco's membership renewal rate is 90.5%, an increase of 0.1% from the previous quarter. Costco CEO Ron Vachris said that although it is difficult to predict the impact of tariffs, the company's goal is to minimize the cost increase for members.

Currently, one-third of Costco's sales in the United States come from imports, of which less than half come from China, Mexico and Canada. Vachris said that in uncertain times, members have historically placed greater emphasis on the value and favorable prices of quality products, and the team will continue to leverage global purchasing power, strong supplier relationships and innovation to meet this challenge. Vachris specifically mentioned the impact of tariffs on groceries. Although profit margins in this area are "much tighter," Costco will work with suppliers to mitigate the impact on consumers.
