Amazon sellers' products are suddenly removed from the shelves? Avoid these common sensitive words!

Many sellers’ products were removed from Amazon for no reason. The confused sellers only then realized that there were “sensitive words”. So there are many doubts here, because their products obviously do not have these words. Let’s talk about sensitive words together.

Reasons for detecting sensitive words

1. Not understanding the rules of related vocabulary and adding the wrong related vocabulary;

2. Malicious competition from competitors, adding relevant sensitive words in reviews after purchasing products;

3. System misjudgment. Most of Amazon’s sensitive words are monitored by robots, so misjudgment of sensitive words often occurs.

4. In order to protect the environment, the United States uses disinfectants or insect repellents for maintenance. Therefore, related antiviral, antibacterial, pesticide and other products are listed as sensitive products. Many sellers’ product keywords contain slightly related words, and if there is no relevant certificate, the products will be removed from the shelves.

5. Products related to religion or containing religious elements are strictly prohibited.

Common sensitive words

1. Ultraviolet light, dust removal, sound generator, water or air treatment unit, floor vibrator and any term related to pest control.

2. Terms used to “prevent, destroy, repel or mitigate” any harmful organism, or to denote an “antimicrobial, antifungal, antibacterial or insecticide”.

3. Products containing antifungal, antibacterial or other pesticides, including products sold for disinfection, pest control, allergen elimination, and bacterial prevention.

4. "Safe", "harmless", "non-toxic" or "pure natural" expressions of the safety of pesticides or other ingredients also include high-quality PVC, hygiene, environmental protection, non-slip, heat-resistant, easy to clean, wear-resistant, preservatives, etc.

5. The cross, Christianity, Jesus, and slavery are associated with drugs

6. Coca leaves, Hawaiian baby Woodrose seeds, Sage Divinorum DEA drugs, Indian wild hemp products, viruses, bacteria, etc.

How to deal with being removed from the shelves due to sensitive words

Download the batch upload template in the backend, and first confirm whether there are any sensitive words in your listing. If there are, delete these sensitive words in the table attributes. If no sensitive words are found, fill in the empty spaces in the table, because sensitive words may be added to the hidden attributes.

It is recommended that sellers use category templates to update and try to include all the following attributes to avoid Amazon capturing the erroneous contribution of others because a certain attribute does not contribute.
