1. The weight cannot be too heavy. For those who are new to Amazon and do not have strong financial strength, from a cost perspective, they need to try to choose products that weigh no more than 500g as trial products for their first entry into Amazon.

Because Amazon's first-mile cost now accounts for a large proportion of the cost of the entire operation, and some even account for half of the product procurement cost, so if the financial strength is insufficient, it is recommended to choose something lighter. Air transportation to the United States is a little more expensive now, and sea transportation is cheaper, but the sea transportation cycle is too long. If you invest 10,000 yuan now, it may take about 60 days to get it back. In the meantime, you have to continue to invest in replenishment, plus other expenses, your capital chain will be under considerable pressure. Once the capital chain is broken, your Amazon entrepreneurial journey will also declare GAME OVER.


2. Exclude sensitive goods, dangerous goods and other categories. Sensitive goods refer to some liquid, powdery, battery-carrying, and odorous products. Many first-leg service providers are unwilling to accept these products. You need to find those first-leg service providers who can handle sensitive goods to operate. Therefore, this will invisibly increase the difficulty and cost of your shipment. In addition, there are many uncertainties in the transportation of sensitive and dangerous goods. These constitute some hidden uneasy factors before your products are sent to the Amazon warehouse in the United States. If there is a problem in one link in the middle, it will cause the product to not be put on the shelf on time, which will cause a series of chain reactions and will also deal a blow to your confidence.

3. Try not to choose products that require category review. We all know that some categories on Amazon are not open to third-party sellers, some categories are not open to buyers outside the United States, and some categories are semi-open, that is, if you want to sell them, you can, but you must first pass Amazon's category review.
These products are usually closely related to human health, such as infant products, vehicle accessories, and food-related products. Amazon uses category audits to ensure that sellers have certain strength and qualifications to operate these products. The pass rate of category audits is not 100%, which means that if your audit fails , the time and energy you spent on product selection in the early stage will be wasted.

Some people may think that there will be less competition for such products , and newbies should decisively enter these fields. My point of view is not to oppose newbies entering these categories. I just suggest that newbies should enter after they have gained a certain amount of operational experience. At that time, they will be more adept at handling these problems.
