[Practical Tips] How to turn slow-selling products into hot-selling products? Detailed explanation of off-site deals

Unsaleable products are a terrible thing for Amazon sellers. Not only can they not sell the products but also cannot make money, and they have to pay extra inventory fees.

So what can we do when a product is unsalable?

Most sellers can think of doing discount activities, and the BD and LD on the site can even directly lower the price if they don’t want to continue selling the product.

However, Amazon's own traffic is limited by algorithms, and it is difficult to digest a large amount of inventory in a short period of time. At this time, we need to use off-site traffic, that is, customer traffic from major deal websites.

Simply put, a deal site is a discount site. Since low-price discounts can indeed attract a lot of people’s interest, these deal sites all have considerable traffic, and many of them can be placed on the homepage of the site for money, which can bring in a large number of orders in a short period of time.

Below I have collected some introductions to commonly used deal sites and posting rules, etc. You can choose a suitable deal website based on the situation of your product.

1

-Slickdeal-

The traffic of the US deal site is very terrifying, with an average daily UV (visitor volume) of nearly 5 million . It is the largest off-site traffic network for Amazon sellers. Products of all categories are relatively suitable, and most of them are 3C electronics.

Because of the large size of the website, the requirements for releasing products are also very strict. The store must have more than 1,000 feedbacks, the product to be released must be given the lowest price on the entire network, and the product must have at least 20 reviews on Amazon, with an average score of more than 4 points (products below 4 points are very poor). These reviews cannot be mixed with too much water, and the rating on Fakespot (a website that examines the authenticity of reviews) must be above C.

In addition to strict requirements for stores and products, there are also considerable rules and restrictions on the posting account on Slickdeals. The posting account (and the IP address used) cannot perform any operations such as upvoting or replying to posts. Sellers who are not familiar with the posting rules are advised to find service providers or celebrities to post.

2

-Dealnews-

Its scale is far smaller than the one above, with an average daily UV of only about 50w, which is only one-tenth of Slickdeals.

Of course, the requirements for low traffic are much less, and there are basically no rigid requirements for store and product discounts, etc. However, in order to make the product have a better performance, it is still recommended that you release a discount of at least 20% off, and the product should be 3.5 points or above.

Of course, the lower the price and the better the product, the better the final sales effect will be. However, unlike Slickdeals, only editors have the right to post on Dealnews.

We usually contact the editor to post during the day, and then it will be online in the evening. If it is a peak season or holiday, it may take one or two days to schedule.

Here’s a little tip for everyone. Since editors have weekends off, the items scheduled on Friday may be on the homepage all weekend . Long-term exposure can maximize the effect.

-Facebook-

I won't introduce this in detail. The average daily UV is the third in the world . One fifth of the traffic comes from the United States. It can also be used in Germany, the United Kingdom, etc. where there are few people and no famous discount websites.

What we use most on FB is to find discount groups to post codes. By using scientific Internet access and search functions, you can find many discount groups. I will briefly tell you how to choose a high-quality discount group.

The first condition is of course a large number of people . The number of people in the group directly determines the upper limit of the discount activity effect.

Secondly, it is best to have a group where only the group owner can post . If everyone can post freely, it will seriously affect the effect of our running volume.

However, if the group owner posts too frequently, thousands of posts a day, this will not work. These two factors will cause our discount codes to be quickly removed, and the final effect will be very poor.

Compared to posting on deal sites, FB posting is an easy-to-use method. It does not require much and is easy to operate by contacting the group owner. The effect is also quite good. It is suitable for sellers who are just trying to attract traffic from outside the site. In the future, it can cooperate with other deal site activities to sell out products in a short period of time.

Nowadays, it is difficult to make a product soar to the sky in a short period of time due to the traffic within Amazon. If you want to quickly create a hit product, you need to use appropriate off-site traffic generation methods.

Today I have picked out three of the most commonly used and typical off-site deal methods. If you want to know more about sellers on deal sites in European countries, you can scan the QR code below to get a copy of the deal site directory (including posting requirements) from me~
