How to open a case with Amazon to get back the extra money deducted by the platform?

Amazon is a huge system that involves many projects and requires coordination among departments. There are also time differences in cross-border communication. It is really difficult to achieve 100% error-free results.

As an Amazon seller, if we can promptly identify the loopholes in the platform that cause it to not strictly follow the rules it has set, and ask Amazon to return the overpaid funds, then, if we can get them back, then that is the pure profit that was deducted during the original business operation.

Why did I have such a strong awareness recently? Because I found out that there is actually a service called Amazon Refund Expert on .com, which proves that if this service can find such problems in the monthly analysis of accounts, it will definitely "earn" a lot of money for the company.

So at what stages is it possible for Amazon to overcharge?

So how can we avoid and discover these amounts that are easily deducted by Amazon?

First, you need to know where Amazon charges fees, and each of these fees has detailed charging standards for specific products, sizes, and at different times.

Second, you need to regularly check and analyze Amazon’s backend data details to analyze the actual fees charged.

Third, compare profits in practice and find out where the differentiation lies?

Increase pensions by a certain amount;

Adjust the additional payments for the elderly and people in remote areas.

For example, based on my one year of experience working at Amazon, what are they?

1. Amazon’s commission, due to the wrong category, brings about the difference in fees charged. You should know that Amazon’s commission rate ranges from 8% to 45%. It is also worth studying in which category it is placed.

Regarding Amazon commissions, I found that I could use DataPulse’s cost-profit calculation tool. I could select different sites and different categories to directly calculate how much the commission should be.

2. Amazon FBA logistics and delivery fees. In the one year I have been working for Amazon, Amazon's logistics and delivery fees have increased twice. Recently, I took the time to recalculate the delivery fee rules. As long as the product is large, it is really not cost-effective at all.

3. Investigation of Shipment Discrepancies

Where was this found?

First, you can check the progress of shipment processing regularly after each shipment to see whether it has been completed. If the actual quantity received by the Amazon warehouse is less than the quantity of the shipment, and you have evidence to prove that you have indeed shipped that much, you can apply for an investigation.

4. Amazon’s advertising fees. If you want to investigate and discover any anomalies in advertising fees, you need to always pay attention to one data: the click-through rate conversion rate.

Suppose for an advertisement, a click-through rate of 1% is reasonable, but assuming that all keywords have a click-through rate of 100% is completely unreasonable. You may have encountered malicious clicks. If you find any abnormalities, remember to open a case with Amazon customer service immediately and ask Amazon to refund the advertising fees for malicious clicks.

Up to now, the $450 has not been returned.

Currently, Amazon's seller support department has determined that the funds were over-deducted and requires assistance from other departments to refund the funds.
