Starting December 11, 2023 , the requirements for creating product listings for all products in Amazon’s global stores ( 1,750 products) (except for products in the Media, Digital, and Handmade categories) will change . These updates will reduce listing errors caused when attributes are required , but may not be marked as “ required ” when listing a product . The requirement changes are as follows: First, for adding products , as the changes roll out, sellers using the "Add a Product" page will see the updated requirements when creating or editing a listing . Starting December 11, all sellers using " Add Products by Upload" will have the option to upgrade to a new listing template with updated attribute requirements. When sellers select a product category for their listing, they will see a banner with a link to download the new template. Amazon said that the platform still accepts listings submitted using the old templates . You need to download the previous template and click the "Switch" button on the upper right of the banner. Amazon will also notify sellers 30 days in advance on the upload and add product page before the updated template becomes the default option. The platform will gradually roll out these changes to all sellers between December 11, 2023 and February 1, 2024, which is equivalent to giving sellers a buffer period. Recently, Amazon has more and more requirements for listings. The update of the listing page may make some sellers unable to adapt in a short time. However, the sellers involved should make plans as soon as possible and adjust their strategies according to their actual situation. Starting December 14, 2023, requests to upload 360° images to product detail pages will no longer be accepted. After that, sellers will have the option to add 3D models of their products. This means that Amazon's listing pages will undergo major changes, and 3D models will replace 360° images. The quality of the images on the listing page not only affects the buyer's first impression of the product, but also affects the listing score to a certain extent. Amazon's newly upgraded listing completeness scoring table will also be officially implemented on January 1, 2024. Relevant requirements are also mentioned. According to data provided by Amazon, the traffic and order volume of correct and complete listings will be 22% and 9.8% higher than those of incomplete listings. Specifically, compared with the old version of the scoring table, four new key scoring items have been added: all key attributes are filled in, 10 characters < title length < 200 characters, the title starts with the brand name, and the completeness of the picture information. The "key attributes" in the figure below directly affect the ASIN rating . This item was not scored in the old version of the scoring table, but it accounts for 25 points in the new version .
