Walmart expands InHome home delivery service to 80 locations across the U.S.

It is learned that according to foreign media reports, Walmart announced that it will further expand the business scope of its InHome home delivery service, which will cover more cities in the United States to enhance the member experience and meet the needs of the holiday season.

It is understood that the service will be expanded to another 25 cities in the United States, including New York, Cleveland, Baltimore, San Diego and Portland, bringing the total number of areas covered by Walmart's service to 80, providing a convenient shopping experience for another 13 million eligible American families.

Walmart first launched the InHome delivery service in 2019 and made it an additional option for Walmart+ members of its loyalty program in 2022. Through this service, Walmart+ members can purchase eligible items online on Walmart's official website or app, and the InHome delivery staff will deliver the order to the member's designated garage, kitchen or doorstep.

Venessa Yates, senior vice president and general manager of Walmart+, said that the holidays are the busiest time of the year for families, and this service will help users complete their holiday to-do lists more easily, delivering fresh food, daily necessities, and even last-minute items needed for the holidays directly to their homes. This expansion will provide Walmart+ members with a higher quality shopping experience and attract more users during the holiday season, driving growth in online spending.
