A new function was updated in the background today. Although it looks rather plain, the signals behind it are worth our consideration.

Some sellers’ products have FBA inventory, but because the sales listings have been deleted by the sellers, or the products have been updated in batches to self-delivery, etc., these inventories no longer have corresponding sales pages, and these inventories have become FBA inventory with no sales information.

Amazon will also prompt these inventories in the background. Generally speaking, if the seller deletes or updates to self-delivery, the inventory will be re-listed or transferred to FBA immediately . Although it is a bit troublesome, it is related to the sales of the goods after all, and no seller will leave these inventories idle.

However, this is good news for sellers who have too many listings to handle manually and sellers who often forget to follow up . You can set the time limit for automatic relisting by yourself, and you can exit the automatic operation if you don’t need the automatic function (it is turned on by default).

Well, the normal surface function has been introduced. It is a function that is not very useful but better than nothing. Now I want to analyze the signals and trends released by this function.

First of all, I want to reassure everyone. As of now, this function has little impact on operations such as renovation and deletion of variants and negative reviews.

To talk about the impact on renovation, we must also talk about the principles of renovation.

Simply put, the renovation method of the case version is to delete the original asin, then create a new identical asin (with a different UPC) and tell the customer service that the FBA cannot be converted, and ask the customer service to synchronize the inventory of the original asin with the new asin.

The key point of this operation is that the customer service staff manually matches the inventory. However, after the automatic repair function is launched, if the customer service staff receives such a case again, they can directly perform automatic repair for you, and this renovation path will be blocked.

After the 525 incident, everyone has been keeping a low profile, and not many sellers are still doing refurbishment. In addition, the success rate of refurbishment is not very high. So if Amazon takes advantage of this wave to ban refurbishment, it will take sellers a long time to react.

After all, refurbishment is a very standard borderline operation. In this way, refurbished products actually have two SKUs in the background, and one can be checked accurately. Therefore, the risk of refurbishment lies in whether Amazon is willing to check.
