The United States has revised its flight ban! Some routes can be maintained

The day before yesterday, the United States suddenly issued a flight ban, announcing that all passenger routes from Chinese airlines would be banned from the 16th. Although the passenger volume is not large now, many airlines use passenger routes to make some money to balance their income and expenditure, and many shipping channels use these passenger routes.

So after the ban came out, our cross-border sellers are worried that the logistics costs that have been reduced with great difficulty will rise again because of this situation. Yesterday we analyzed the response measures of the Civil Aviation Administration of my country, which made a new turn for the matter (click here for details), and today the United States also has new news about our countermeasures! Some airlines will be allowed to maintain their flights during the ban on the 16th.

US amends civil aviation ban

According to a spokesperson for the relevant agency, although the latest policy of the Civil Aviation Administration of China allows more flights from US airlines, it is still far less than the number agreed upon in the aviation agreement between China and the United States.

"If China can continue to restore competitive balance and fair opportunities between Chinese and American airlines, we can also provide the same number of scheduled flights as the Chinese government allows."

Judging from this statement, the US civil aviation ban is indeed aimed at our "five-one" aviation restrictions. So just after we relaxed the restrictions yesterday, today the US spokesperson also came out to say that " a revised civil aviation ban will be issued in the next few days, and the revised ban may allow some Chinese passenger flights to continue to operate."

However, our "Five Ones" policy is not aimed at the United States, but is an anti-epidemic principle that all airlines must abide by. It strictly abides by the regulations that "one airline can only operate one route in one country, and there can only be one flight per week." This allowed us to prevent the possibility of a second outbreak caused by imported cases from abroad when the epidemic was spreading all over the world in the past few months.

This restriction is for everyone and is not targeted at the United States, but the demand for flights by U.S. airlines is too huge, so they are particularly resistant to this policy. If the "five-one" restriction is further relaxed, it means that airlines in other countries can also receive the same treatment, which will bring unprecedented pressure on our work to prevent overseas imports.

Our current policy direction is "we would rather give up GDP growth targets than prevent the resurgence of the epidemic". In this case, epidemic prevention is the focus and bottom line of our policy. Therefore, as an important policy to prevent the import of overseas cases, the "five one" restrictions have little room for downward adjustment. It is definitely impossible to completely lift the ban on the 16th. How many flights can remain in operation at that time depends on the game between us and the United States during this period.

It is hard to say whether logistics costs will increase after the 16th, but China Post has already initiated price adjustments.

Adjustment of surcharges for E-Post and International Postal Parcel

China Post adjusted the transportation surcharges for E-Express and E-Post on June 3, and will also adjust the transportation surcharges for international air parcels today. (For a detailed table, please PM me at the end of the article)

Although E-Packet is now very expensive and has been abandoned by sellers who pursue low prices, this adjustment has both increases and decreases, indicating that the price may have reached its peak. As the epidemic situation improves, the price of E-Packet may decline in the future.

Therefore, there is no need to be too pessimistic about the flight ban on the 16th, because this flight ban is ultimately due to the epidemic. Now the epidemic situation everywhere is gradually recovering. Even if the flight ban does lead to an increase in logistics costs, it is only temporary.
