There have been constant rumors about Prime Day in the past. The earliest rumors were pushed to August or September, but now the rumors are getting later and later, to October or even November. Now Amazon has finally announced the date of this year's Prime Day on the seller backend page!

This time is consistent with the time in the internal email of the merchant manager that was exposed last week, and it is a page directly released by the backend, which can basically be regarded as the official final version. Here are some key deadlines:

1. Member Day Coupon Event Registration Deadline: August 28

2. Registration deadline for exclusive Prime Day discounts: September 25

3. FBA warehouse entry deadline: September 11


Now the LD registration has ended, and only two free activities, Member Day Coupon and Exclusive Discount, are still available. Sellers who want to make good use of this year's large traffic must pay attention to the above event registration deadline.


After the contents of the manager’s internal email were exposed last week, many sellers asked again why the Primeday time written in the exposed email actually lasted from October 7 to November 3.

The official announcement in the background explained the time issue of this table. This table is not the duration of each Primeday activity, but the registration period for Primeday Coupon .

The gameplay of the Member Day Coupon is actually the same as last year. If you want to participate in different activities, you need to select different effective time periods when setting the coupon. I will sort it out and replace the chart with easier-to-understand text.


1. If you want the Prime Day Coupon to be effective during the entire Prime Day period (including the Prime Day warm-up period and the Prime Day event), you need to set the Coupon start time to 2020/10/3 to 2020/10/4.


2. If you want the Member Day Coupon to be effective only during the warm-up period , you need to set the Coupon start time to 2020/10/5 to 2020/10/6.


3. If you want the Member Day Coupon to be effective only during Member Day , you need to set the Coupon time to 2020/10/7 to 2020/11/3.


When you set the date as specified above, it does not mean that your coupon will be effective during the set period. The algorithm will automatically capture your coupon and identify what event you are participating in based on the effective date. Once the specific date of the Primeday event is determined, your coupon will be automatically adjusted to the correct effective date.


Therefore, if sellers want to set up a Member Day Coupon, they should determine their needs and select the effective time period, and then set the effective date according to the above method.


Based on last year’s results, the exclusive discounts in the two free events are much better than Primeday Coupons.


Exclusive discounts for Members' Day


The way to sign up for today’s exclusive discount is the same as last year. When setting up the exclusive discount, just check “Is this discount a Prime Day discount” to participate.

Products participating in the Member Day exclusive discounts must meet the following requirements.


●The products must be FBA products that meet Amazon Prime domestic delivery conditions.

Prime-exclusive discounts must meet all regular eligibility criteria.

●Products must have a star rating of at least 3.5 stars, or no star rating.

●The discounted price must be at least 20% off the non-promotional price for non-Prime members.

●Discounts can only be up to 80% off the non-promotional price for non-Prime members.

●Prime exclusive discount prices must be 5% lower than the lowest price of the ASIN in the past 30 days. The lowest price in the past 30 days refers to the lowest order price among all flash sale prices, promotional prices, and sales prices offered by all sellers for the ASIN during this period.

●If Amazon Seller Ratings are enabled, the feedback rating must be at least 4 points.


The reason why exclusive discounts were so effective on last year’s Member’s Day was that, in addition to being the first new activity that provided official diversion, the search page also had the same discount logo as that for LD products, which was very eye-catching and had a great impact on conversions and traffic.


The poor effect of Member Day Coupon last year was because the exclusive display page was not obvious, and non-member buyers could not see the coupon on the search page, so the final effect was unsatisfactory.


However, Amazon has improved this problem a bit during the Black Friday, equalizing the effect of the two free activities. This year's traffic is definitely unprecedentedly large, so you can choose the two activities according to your needs and pay attention to the overlap problem .
