Evergreen Group owns: Evergreen Marine Corporation, Evergreen International, Evergreen Air, Evergreen Aerospace Corporation, Evergreen Aviation Services, Evergreen Air Freight and Warehousing, and Evergreen International Logistics and Services. Other divisions and subsidiaries of the group include Uni Air Shipping and Uni Air. Evergreen International's largest business unit is the Evergreen International Hotel chain, which has nine hotels in Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and France.

About Evergreen Marine

At present, Evergreen Marine (EMC) has a service network covering more than 80 countries around the world, with more than 240 service locations. The long-distance and short-distance full-container regular routes it operates cover the world's five major blocks: Asia-North America route/Asia-Caribbean region; Asia-Europe route/Asia-Mediterranean; Europe-Atlantic East Coast of the United States; Asia-Australia/Asia-Mauritius, South Africa, South America; Asia regional route/Asia-Middle East, Red Sea/Asia-Indian subcontinent. In addition to the main routes, it has also opened up a regional feeder service network, such as the Caribbean and Indian subcontinent, to shorten the delivery time and help cargo owners seize business opportunities.

Development History

In 1975, Evergreen Marine (EMC) launched a fleet containerization plan, using a newly built fast all-container fleet to open a regular all-container route to the Far East/East Coast of the United States, setting a precedent for the first all-container fleet in Taiwan.

In 1984, Evergreen Marine (EMC) opened up an unprecedented global east-west two-way all-container regular route, using highly efficient fully automatic container ships and a complete computer information connection system to connect the transportation service network of Asia, Europe and America, providing economical, convenient and safe transportation services to the global business community. With the rapid changes of the times, Evergreen has also flexibly adjusted its operating strategy in response to market demand. For example, in 2002, it replaced the global east-west two-way route that had been in operation for 18 years with two pendulum routes.

Since 2007, Evergreen Shipping has integrated Evergreen Group's Italian Shipping Company, Evergreen Shipping Company, Evergreen Hong Kong Company and Evergreen Shipping Singapore Company (joined in 2009) to form Evergreen Line, providing global shippers with comprehensive transportation services under a single brand. It also actively cooperates with peers through shipping alliances, route joint ventures or space exchanges, in order to provide shippers with intensive transportation services and improve operational performance.
