Jabong is a famous fashion + e-commerce website in India. It was founded in 2012 and mainly deals in fashion clothing, shoes, hats, watches, beauty products, home accessories and traditional Indian clothing. In July 2016, Flipkart acquired Jabong through its subsidiary Myntra.

About Jabong

Jabong.com was co-founded by Praveen Sinha, Lakshmi Potluri, Arun Chandra Mohan and Manu Kumar Jain as an e-commerce portal selling Indian fashion and lifestyle products. All the co-founders have left the company so far.

According to The Economist, in 2012, Jabong had total sales of approximately $100-150 million. In March 2013, Jabong was shipping over 6,000 orders per day. According to a presentation to Rocket Internet investors, in the first quarter of 2016, Jabong's net revenue was €32.6 million, up 14% from the same period last year. In September 2017, Jabong was reportedly Dorothy Perkins' third-largest e-commerce partner worldwide.

Business Model

In India, e-commerce companies generally adopt inventory and managed marketplace models, and Jabong follows these two business models. In the inventory model, products come from brands and are stored in the company's warehouses. In the managed marketplace model, Jabong provides marketing, logistics and delivery support to merchants.

International Stores

Jabong also has an international online shopping store called "Jabongworld.com", the highest traffic to which comes from the United States, followed by countries such as Malaysia and Mauritius.
