On the Amazon platform, there are many sellers who have increased the price of masks in disguise. According to CNBC, Amazon has deleted 530,000 products on the platform that were price-gouged based on the coronavirus, and suspended more than 2,500 seller accounts on its US market for violating its price-gouging policy.

Setting a reference price for a product or service that misleads buyers; setting a price that is too high for a product or service, making it significantly higher than the current price offered inside or outside Amazon; or selling multiple items of the same product at a higher price than a single item. Setting excessively high shipping costs for products. Amazon considers current public carrier rates, reasonable handling costs, and buyers' opinions when determining whether shipping costs violate our fair pricing policy. Among them, the second point is relatively clear. Sellers must pay attention to the principle of pricing fairness and avoid price fraud.

Amazon begins to rectify products such as masks on the platform


This time, Amazon is serious about cleaning up the mask products on its platform. Many sellers in some cross-border communities have stated that Amazon’s US site has begun to restrict third-party sellers from selling mask-related products.

Don’t sell masks without relevant certification and qualifications
