The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Finance of Singapore. It is responsible for collecting taxes and national revenue. As the main revenue collector for the Singapore government, the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore imposes income tax, goods and services tax (GST), wealth tax, inheritance tax (which was abolished on 15 February 2008), betting duty, stamp duty and private lottery duty. Under Section 10(1)(a) of the Income Tax Act 1947 (ITA), a blog is taxable in Singapore if it constitutes gains or profits from a trade or business.

Other taxes that are not levied by the Singapore Inland Revenue Authority are: Motor Vehicle Tax (Land Transport Authority), Customs Duty and Excise Duty (Singapore Customs), Foreign Worker Levy (Ministry of Manpower), Water Conservation Levy (Public Utilities Commission)
