In 1998, Malaysia established a new regulatory licensing framework and a new regulatory agency, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), under the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. Wireless product standards, certification and testing programs, and import and export management are all formulated by MCMC. However, related product testing and product certification are authorized to SIRIM QAS. Related Introduction: MCMC certification requires Malaysian importers or agents to apply for it. After passing SIRIM certification, they will obtain the COC certificate. After obtaining the COC certificate, the product can be cleared smoothly. SKMM stipulates that the highest frequency band of imported products shall not exceed 420THz. At present, the regulated products mainly include 3G, 4G, Bluetooth, GSM, WiFi, wireless short-range devices, wireless broadcasting equipment, etc. All products registered and certified by SKMM need to be affixed with the MCMC logo before they can be listed in Malaysia.
