The delayed shipment rate refers to the delay in delivery time caused by Shopee sellers’ failure to complete shipment within the set preparation days. About Shopee's delayed shipment rate In Shopee operations, there are three indicators to consider whether the store has a good performance for orders: delayed shipment rate, uncompleted order rate and customer service. The purpose of Shopee calculating the delayed shipment rate is to track and reduce delayed orders. If sellers can reduce the delayed shipment rate, they can have a better sales record and provide buyers with a better shopping experience. It can also improve buyers' satisfaction with the store, thereby bringing in more orders. It is also very important for sellers to complete shipments within the preparation days to maintain a good sales record. Failure to ship on time for a long time will also affect the store's sales record and give buyers a bad shopping experience. The delivery time is not based on the seller's click on the webpage, but on the scanning time of the transit warehouse. So if you are delayed due to out of stock or various reasons, it will be counted into the delayed delivery rate. How to calculate the delayed shipment rate The delayed shipment rate is calculated as the percentage of delayed orders to the total number of shipped orders in the past 7 days. The Shopee system will calculate and update the seller's delayed shipment rate every Monday. Delayed shipment rate calculation formula Delayed shipment rate = number of delayed shipment orders / total number of shipment orders = 5/20 = 25% In other words, the delayed shipment rate cannot exceed 25% to be considered a qualified shipment rate. How to reduce the rate of delayed shipments 1. Avoid insufficient inventory. Sellers should regularly track product inventory quantities and update inventory in real time; regularly update sellers' product inventory (at least once a week) through the Shopee Seller Center to ensure that product inventory is updated in all stores; avoid filling in false product inventory quantities (such as: 100,000); pay attention to the pre-sale products set to avoid pre-sale products affecting the actual delivery time. 2. Fill in the correct number of days for stocking. Ensure that the time required for product shipment is in line with the actual situation; buyers can use the "lead time" to know how long it takes the seller to prepare, pack and ship the product; and whether the product is "in stock" can also be judged from the lead time. If the seller needs more time to ship the product, such as: the inventory is in pre-sale status, the product should be marked as a longer lead time, and the lead time should be set to more than 5 days. 3. Ensure that there is sufficient manpower to pack the goods. Sellers can use sales data from the past few months to evaluate the average order volume and how much manpower is needed to complete the shipping process. In addition, sellers must also determine whether the shipping process is efficient, correctly packing goods and processing orders, and be familiar with the Shopee shipping system. 4. Make preparations in advance before encountering special holidays or participating in theme activities. Sellers can estimate sales during theme events or special holidays by: evaluating the number of orders during special sales periods through past sales data and experience; hiring temporary additional staff to handle the increased orders during special holidays or theme events. 5. Use vacation mode to deal with the situation where you are temporarily unable to ship. When sellers are unable to handle shipments due to special circumstances, such as the Chinese New Year or when there is no one to take care of the store temporarily, they can consider opening a holiday mode to ensure that no orders will be received during that period; but before that, sellers must complete every order that has been traded. Deduction of points for delayed shipment rate In the past 7 days, regardless of the total number of orders of the seller, the store's delayed shipment rate must be lower than 10%; when the delayed shipment rate is higher than the standard set by Shopee, 1 point will be deducted in accordance with the seller scoring system specifications; serious violation of the scoring rules means that when the delayed shipment rate is >= 10% and the number of delayed shipment orders is >= 30, 2 points will be deducted. The main reasons for delayed shipment rate 1. Insufficient inventory of goods; 2. Insufficient staff during shipment; 3. Misjudgment of order quantity when participating in theme activities or encountering special festivals; 4. The store is unattended but the holiday mode is not set, resulting in new orders being unable to be shipped. |
