Shenzhen-based Vesync (Morning North Technology) mentioned in its IPO prospectus that the growing concerns in the United States about indoor and outdoor air pollution (especially in winter), the increase in airborne diseases and wildfire pollution, and the growing awareness of the impact of air pollution on cognitive ability are all key factors expected to promote the surge in sales of home environment appliances in the United States.


Between 2015 and 2019, the retail value of home appliances in the United States increased from US$6.6 billion to US$8.4 billion, and the retail volume increased from 82.8 million units to 96.1 million units. The retail value of small home appliances is expected to reach US$11 billion in 2024, and the retail volume will reach 11.36 million units, with a compound annual growth rate of 6.2% and 3.8% respectively.


According to transaction data from Alibaba International Station, from April to November 2020, the platform's air purifier export orders increased by 783% year-on-year.

VeSync's home environment appliances account for nearly half of the company's revenue. In the first half of 2020, VeSync's revenue reached 129 million US dollars, and home environment appliances contributed nearly 60 million US dollars, more than double the revenue of about 25 million US dollars in the first half of 2019!


CCTV Finance interviewed several major air purifier manufacturers and parts manufacturers, and all of them are doing booming business.

A factory in Jiangsu that produces air purifier filter materials has seen an increasing number of overseas orders and is currently operating 24 hours a day .



In an interview, Gree Electric mentioned that its exports of air purifiers in 2020 have more than doubled compared to 2019 .


In 2021, the popularity of air purifiers is expected to continue. Sellers who have been deeply involved in the small home appliance category and sellers who have advantages in the supply chain can focus on this product when making product selection plans for the new year!
