Amazon search rankings are out of whack! Will it still crack down on sellers with fake reviews?

Amazon search results have been a bit shaky lately. Over the weekend, some careful Amazon sellers began noticing strange shifts in their products’ organic ranking results.

The change was extreme, as suddenly, products that had dominated the organic search results disappeared. Instead of appearing in Amazon’s most popular digital areas, they appeared further down the search page where they rarely appeared.
Many top sellers saw sales plummet as their visibility was severely reduced, while products that typically didn’t have much traction benefited from the top spots taken by competitors.
Some sellers figured out this problem early on and published helpful explanations with examples of problems with Amazon search results.
At first, the sudden change confused Amazon sellers. Was Amazon still cracking down on sellers who generated fake reviews? Did the ranking algorithm change?
After all, many big-selling stores have suffered severe blows before, which not only attracted the attention of sellers but also consumers.

Amazon officials said this was just a mistake that is being corrected.

While many Amazon sellers said their situation was back to normal, some said the outage had not been resolved as of Tuesday. In addition, Amazon has not yet issued a statement indicating that the problem has been fully resolved.
Any Amazon seller will tell you that organic ranking is still the holy grail for Amazon sellers. Any increase or decrease will seriously affect the ranking of your product.
With this in mind, sellers should pay attention to the fact that search ranking or ad ranking is crucial when tracking product performance.
