When it comes to agency operation, many sellers are very resistant. Some sellers even said bluntly: "Isn't the so-called agency operation designed to cheat factories? Under the slogan of letting factories transform, the result is that many factories die faster. It's best not to touch it!"




Why do sellers express such opinions?

Dear bosses, please be careful to prevent such part-time operation scammers.


Recently, three friends, who didn’t know each other, came to me and told me the same thing: they might have encountered a scammer.


Friend A wants to find an operator for Alibaba International Station;

Friend B wants to hire an Amazon operator;

Friend C wants to hire a 1688 operator.


They all have one thing in common: they are all local bosses of OEM factories who have transformed themselves. They are all relatively old, over 40 years old, and do not understand e-commerce operations very well, but they very much hope that their team can successfully transform into e-commerce.


They then started operational recruitment on multiple platforms, but received very few satisfactory resumes.


After a while, I received a request for a related position on Boss, but the resumes were unauthentic and there were no profile pictures. They all asked for an account number to make a diagnosis first.


I looked at the one on 1688, and it is actually the same as the store backend diagnosis. (But the local boss doesn't know, and thinks the diagnosis report they give is very professional)


Almost every friend is very interested in continuing the conversation after getting the diagnosis report, and they definitely want to invite the other party for an interview. They will give you various reasons, such as family matters, not resigning, or other things. In short, they are not in the local area and cannot interview you, but they will continue to talk to you about store operations.


I'll leave you alone for a day or two.


Then they would say that they cannot come to work this month, and ask if I can try part-time for a month, and they promise that they will not let me down. And the price they offer is not high, 3000-3500 or so.


Conversation between sellers and part-time agent operators


The three friends who were eager to recruit talents were not spared and all agreed to the request of online part-time operation for one month. They all thought that this amount of money was not high, and if they were really talented, they would earn it.


Then they opened sub-accounts for those people with confidence.


In fact, when these friends mentioned this to me, my first thought was whether they had encountered a fraudster. (Later, it was confirmed that my guess was correct.)


Whether it was Alibaba, 1688, or Amazon, they all received a promotion plan a few days after the cooperation. The core content was just one thing: spending money. The one who spent more than 20,000 yuan among the three of them, and the one who spent less also spent several thousand yuan.


There is nothing wrong with spending some money on promotion, but if there is no output, that is a big problem.


Especially the daily content is just the optimization of titles, descriptions, and pictures. In fact, there is no work to do every day, just post some data, and then ask for money. Every now and then, you have to pay for advertising and compete for the bid.


Among them, off-site promotion is easier to manipulate, and the ratio of on-site and off-site promotion is almost half and half, and the budget is basically tens of thousands of yuan. There are also fake orders, looking for partners that you are familiar with, and then taking the money and running away without giving it to the previous party.


In short, the money was spent, but the performance was really bad. Not to mention conversion, even the exposure didn’t see much improvement.


The cooperation had not even started for a month when I secretly complained. What I lost was not only the 3,000 yuan salary, but also the considerable advertising fees. More importantly, I wasted the recruitment time.


If I'm not mistaken, this is a new type of scam used by agency operators.



In fact, after reading the above sharing, we can simply summarize it: these agents first deceive the sellers' trust, and then use various excuses to express that they can operate the store part-time with low salary, and finally defraud the evaluation and other promotion fees. The money was spent, and the store performance did not increase.


Of course, if we have to blame these factory owners, it is that they themselves lack the relevant knowledge of cross-border e-commerce operations, and are easily fooled by seemingly professional operators.

1. I have encountered this kind of situation, but I was quite suspicious of him at the beginning. I only tested one order and asked him to refund the money, but he never replied on WeChat again.


2. Our boss seems to have encountered such a scammer. He worked part-time as a promoter, but after working for a month, he was only asked to recharge and didn’t see any sales revenue.


3. I have also encountered many of them, and they were all rejected directly. You are not the sponsor, why do you need me to do anything remotely?


4. Guide to closing the pit. I receive calls every day asking if they can help me operate the business through Alibaba, but I still think that agency operations are unreliable.


5. That’s right. Our own recruitment account has also encountered this in the past two or three months, but I rejected them all on the grounds that I do not accept part-time jobs.


6. I also encountered this last month. I was thinking that this person could work remotely and could take over several companies. You can't do this!!!


In fact, we can see that there are quite a few sellers who encounter similar situations, but because they have more professional cross-border e-commerce operation knowledge and are more vigilant, most of them refuse such agency operations.

They change their names and use the excuse that they cannot work in the office at the beginning, and use their own divorce, family illness, unemployment and family affairs, and the boss's anxious psychology of seeking talents to win the sympathy of the local bosses, and defraud them of a month's agency operation. If they meet a local boss who is a little more watered down, they can defraud more advertising and promotion fees. If the local bosses are unwilling to spend money on advertising, they will not lose money. Anyway, it doesn't take much time to deal with the account every day, and those local bosses don't know whether the other party is working.

There are also sellers who posted pictures, saying that a proxy operator they recently met asked to work remotely, and expected a base salary of 5K during the probation period, and hoped to be adjusted to a normal level later. This seems to be in line with what we mentioned above: defrauding a month's proxy operation fee...


The seller finally rejected the agency operation on the grounds that there were too many things to connect with and this model was not suitable.

Some sellers also analyzed that if you meet someone who doesn't even want to have a face-to-face interview but still wants to work part-time, you still have to be very careful. The bigger hidden danger is that the other party knows that your store has a hot product. If they plagiarize or attack you maliciously in the future, the loss of a few thousand yuan is not a big deal, but the account will be damaged, which is not worth the loss.


Of course, the above views are only an analysis of part-time agency operations, so that sellers can be more vigilant, rather than generalizing and denying all agency operations.
