Goods are extremely important to sellers, they are their lifeblood, but there are always people with bad intentions who want to take the sellers' goods.
 



Amazon employee arrested for stealing merchandise



Recently, according to foreign media reports, an Amazon employee was arrested by police for stealing goods worth a total of $19,000 .
 
According to Sacramento police, the arrested criminal hid an Apple MacBook in his backpack and was stopped by Amazon's loss prevention team when he was walking to the parking lot to leave. The Amazon loss prevention team then controlled the criminal and took him to the police station.
 
The police then searched the criminal's car and apartment, where they found more than 130 stolen Amazon products, including Apple MacBooks, computer graphics cards, gaming mice, and hardware tools. Faced with the evidence in front of the police, the employee had no choice but to admit that he was a repeat offender.

Recently, there have been frequent incidents of Amazon employees stealing goods . Some time ago, the Spanish police arrested five Amazon employees for stealing mobile phones worth a total of 500,000 euros .
 
Amazon should strengthen its warehouse management so that sellers can use FBA services with confidence. At the same time, Amazon should strengthen its distribution management because it was not long since the last time a package was abandoned in the forest that another Amazon package was found abandoned on the roadside.
 



The package was abandoned again



According to British media reports, a British man accidentally discovered dozens of abandoned Amazon packages when he parked his car in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. The man took photos of the scene and posted them on his FaceBook.
 

 
Judging from the photos the man posted on Facebook, most of the goods in the packages had been taken out .
 
Amazon immediately launched an investigation after the incident. The parcel labels found at the scene showed that most of them were sent to Croydon in South London. In addition, a careful netizen found that the parcel was abandoned only 8 kilometers away from the nearest Amazon logistics warehouse.
 
Amazon is currently searching for the suspect through package label positioning and internal systems. Based on the information released so far, all the evidence points to the delivery driver . I hope the investigation results can be released as soon as possible to give an explanation to the seller of the lost package.
 
Although FBA has a high standard of service, it is inevitable that goods may be lost or damaged. If a seller uses the FBA service and the goods are unfortunately lost due to the above situation, what should he do?




How to deal with lost goods?



Amazon has a corresponding compensation policy for sellers who encounter damage or loss of goods when using FBA services. Before understanding this policy, sellers need to understand the applicable conditions of the policy.
 
Applicable conditions

  • Products stored in Amazon FBA warehouses that have been lost for more than 30 days;
  • Products stored in Amazon FBA warehouses that are damaged due to Amazon's operational errors;
  • Products destroyed by Amazon without the seller’s permission;
  • Products lost in Amazon FBA distribution centers for more than 30 days;
  • Products that are damaged or lost by the carrier assigned by Amazon during the Amazon FBA delivery process.

 
If the seller meets one of the above conditions, he or she can make a claim in the following two ways.
 
1. Contact customer service
Open a case and explain the reason to customer service, and let customer service apply for an investigation on your behalf.
 
2. Directly initiate compensation
Customer service will ask the seller to provide proof of delivery.
 
For goods that meet the compensation requirements, Amazon will provide two compensation methods: one is to replace the lost or damaged product with an identical FNSKU; the other is to compensate for the fair market price after evaluation, and Amazon will deduct the logistics costs and sales commission of the product.
 
In some cases, the seller needs to provide other relevant information, so before making a claim, the seller should prepare the following materials as much as possible:



1. The shipping order, three-copy invoice provided by the factory or the invoice provided by the supplier;


2. Invoices and other relevant receipts provided by the freight forwarder;


3. Proof of delivery to Amazon.

Note: The invoice provided by the seller must be a formal invoice. In addition, the shipping order and triplicate invoice provided by the factory need to be stamped.



I hope Amazon can strengthen its management and try to avoid the theft or abandonment of goods. Although Amazon will compensate for the damage and loss of goods, no seller wants their goods to be damaged or lost.
