Amazon has two new shipping features that you must know about!

Normal, once there is data abnormality, such as sales are falling, conversion rate is abnormal, flow is 0, etc., we need to deal with it in time. Regarding data analysis, we will mainly analyze store traffic data, sales data and advertising data. Through these data, we can observe whether today's sales have increased or decreased. If there is a problem, we can accurately know which link has the problem and make reasonable adjustments.

Amazon recently launched several new features to improve sellers’ logistics management efficiency and user experience. Here is a detailed introduction to these new features:

01
New Shipment Feature - "Send Again" is now available!

The “Send Again” feature allows sellers to copy the SKU and item quantity in a previously created shipment with one click, which is especially popular among many US sellers!

This feature replaces the tedious steps of manually selecting SKUs or uploading in batches when the same SKU and quantity need to be replenished to Amazon inventory. It also reduces errors caused by manual entry and improves data accuracy by automatically copying shipment information.

For those products with good sales performance, you previously had to create shipments separately, but now you can do it with just one click, which saves a lot of time.

Although this feature simplifies the shipping process for a single SKU, support for multi-variant products still needs to be improved, and if the shipment is divided into warehouses after creation, the copied information will be incomplete.

Send It Again usage steps:

1. Go to Inventory > select FBA Inventory

2. Open [Shipment] > drop-down menu and select [Manage Shipment]

3. Under the Next Steps column, select Send Again.

This new feature will greatly improve delivery efficiency, simplify the replenishment process, and save sellers valuable time and energy.

02
Amazon's new FBA delivery notification system

The new FBA delivery notification mainly provides sellers with real-time delivery status updates, covering various transportation modes such as full truckload (FTL), less-than-truckload (LTL) and multimodal transport. Through these notifications, sellers can immediately learn about any changes in pick-up time, transportation methods or carrier information, and thus more effectively respond to possible interference and adopt corresponding solutions.

For goods participating in the Amazon Partner Carrier Program, sellers will be informed of adjustments to the pickup date, time or transportation details, including the latest information on the Standard Carrier Alphabet Code (SCAC). Such real-time updates ensure that sellers can clearly grasp the pickup and delivery status of inventory and avoid any trouble caused by unexpected situations.

The newly launched FBA delivery notification system has the following functions:

  • For sellers who rely heavily on Amazon FBA to handle their fulfillment and shipping needs, staying informed of any changes in shipment status can make the difference between a smooth operation or not.

  • For high-volume sellers and those who rely on consistent delivery schedules , these notifications provide additional transparency, helping to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • For sellers who rely heavily on partnered carrier programs , these notifications provide a critical tool to help them maintain control in logistics management.

How to manage FBA delivery notifications

To manage your email preferences for shipping schedule changes or exceptions:

1. Log in to your Seller Central account.
2. Click [Settings] and select [Notification Preferences].
3. Scroll down to the FBA Incoming Shipping Status Notification section.
4. Click [Edit] and update [Delivery plan changes or exceptions]
Note that you need to make sure the email address you use in step 4 of the “Send to Amazon” workflow is up to date, as Amazon will be sending these important notifications through that address.

As the order volume increases during the peak season, sellers may need to make adjustments in shipping and make operational plans in advance.

In short, with the peak season, the new policies of the Amazon platform will show an upward trend. Sellers need to maintain a high degree of sensitivity and adaptability, closely follow the platform dynamics, promptly interpret the essence of the new policies, and flexibly adjust their own operating strategies.
